she got the scare of her life, i can tell you that much. check out the situation behind me here. we re on marden avenue in belmore where nassau county police and pse&g are hard at work. it took down a large tree. it landed right on top of a power line. but that s not all it landed on. the tree landed right on top of a car as well with a woman who was driving the car sitting inside the car. the next thing she sees, flashing lights from live wires at which point all she could do was pray. the wires just were crazy. a live wire again, like right in front of my windshield and if that would have blew, that s what i m still trying to get over. you re very lucky. i am. what do you say after something like this? how about lucky you re around mom. god was watching me today. there you go. check this out too here in westbury, more downed power lines. ridge drive, the wind took down those power lines, smoldering in the street which needed to be blocked off to traffic. ....
this warmer air is generating sours and thunderstorms through the hudson river valley and new york and now western new england. you notice here, numerous thunderstorms back through western new england. and these are heading northeast. the concern with these thunderstorms is that they can reach up into the sky as they are growing. and grab stronger winds. and then yank those winds down to the surface. so there s going to be about a three or four hour window overnight tonight around metro boston from 2:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. we may have strong winds. perhaps leading to some minor wind damage winds gusts between 40 as high 50 miles per hour. here winds already new bedford gust to 40 miles per hour plymouth a gust 26 miles per hour. so wind advisory in effect overnight tonight. rain is with us overnight tonight but gone in time for the morning commute. we get rain out of here tomorrow morning you don t need rain gear for morning commute but a windy day tomorrow. a warm tem ....
imagine the crap that we see out there. we take care of everybody but we also see the worst of the worst out there in the world and you do that day in and day out. firefighters kill themselves in record number these days. it s just kind of a dirty secret of the profession . going to talk some more about my experience while reporting this story we came across videos of tim casey a former firefighter paramedic, talking about his problems with stress on the job. i was overloaded on the job. the things i saw, i was depressed, i was drinking too much. when we do something, we do it really good, we drink really hard, we party really hard and we became a danger to ourselves and suicidal we re generally pretty good at suicide as well, sad to say. we planned to meet him at his home last august but three weeks before our interview, tim killed himself. teresa evans was tim s fiancee. on july 31st, 2015 she came to his house and smelled something coming from the garage. h ....
