foot -- >> the longest ever? >> absolutely. >> i was told and me and my fellow brides maids were told to never stand on this train. we were also the most unreliable guests age 5 and 6 right behind the train. so we were told, you must not -- so i just remember staring at my feet the whole way up and down determined not to tread on this very important train. >> did you meet diana prior to the are wedding itself? >> yes. because i was at nursery school and she -- >> but in terms of the wedding preparations, did you go through a rehearsal? >> yes. we had lots of rehearsals. >> what was like that under the gaze of the hierarchy of the church of england, government, pressure from security? >> luckily i was 5. i had no idea thiez people were the government or clergy or indeed a princess. i was just thinking it was all lots of fun. i really enjoyed it. it was just a great sense of,
sense of occasion. i was 5 years old. >> you were a student in kindergarten of princess diana. you must have had some sense that you were taking part in something spectacular. >> we definitely had an idea because we had tons of rehearsals, tons of preparation, dress fittings, where we got to know diana a little bit because she was always there. >> she always came to the fittings. >> yes, she always came to the fittings. she was very involved i think of the design of the brides maids dresses. we never saw her dress, but we definitely saw her and she was always very happy and sitting and chatting with us all. >> do you remember that moment when the wedding started and did you feel a little pressure as a 5-year-old girl? >> the pressure i remember very much was she had this extraordinary long train, the 25
