报道称，“好人理查德”号是美国海军10艘两栖攻击舰之一，当时正在进行耗资2.5亿美元的改装升级，以便搭载下一代舰载战斗机。2020年7月12日燃起的大火，持续燃烧四天后才被扑。大火吞没井甲板、上层建筑以及前部的舰员起居和工作空间，舰体内温度达到1000度，飞行甲板、舰岛、桅杆等都受到广泛的破坏。最终，这艘代表美国强大海权力量的两栖攻击舰被作为废品处理。
近一年来，美国海军一直没有对为何在和平时期损失这艘大型军舰做出任何解释，这引发了外界的质疑。

The Army appears ready to mandate vaccines for all soldiers. Some say it’s to rid the army of right-leaning soldiers.
“The Army has directed commands to prepare to administer mandatory COVID-19 vaccines as early as Sept. 1, pending full Food and Drug Administration licensure,” the Army Times reported.
“The directive came from an execute order sent to the force by Department of the Army Headquarters.”
Is this constitutional? Not that the Left cares.
The same reports are coming out of the Navy.
“As COVID-19 vaccine rates continue to inch upward and cases continue to fall across America, the Navy’s top personnel officer said this week that sailors should expect the vaccine to become mandatory in the not-too-distant future,” the Navy Times reported.

美国“防务新闻”网站6月28日报道称，美乌“海上微风”演习正式开始，而这正好在俄罗斯武力驱离“入侵”领海的英军驱逐舰的数天后。
报道称，这项演习将在黑海地区持续到7月10日，根据美国第六舰队发布的消息，今年“海上微风”演习的重点是两栖作战、陆地机动作战、潜水作战、海上拦截作战、防空作战、特种作战、反潜作战和搜索救援。32个国家出动5000兵力、32艘舰艇、40架战机和18支特种作战部队参加。
美国驻乌克兰大使馆临时代办克里斯蒂娜·凯文表示：“美国很高兴能与乌克兰合作，共同举办‘海上微风’多国海上演习，这将有助于加强参与国之间的互操作性和作战能力。”“我们致力于维护黑海的安全保障。”
报道提到，就在此次“海上微风”演习开始的5天前，俄罗斯宣布向一艘靠近克里米亚水域的英军驱逐舰进行射击警告，还出动战机投下炸弹。但英国方面否认了这一说话，坚称没有遭到警告射击，还说英舰是在乌克兰水域航行。
还有一些美国媒体在对“海上微风”演习进行报道时，也刻意扯到了俄英在黑海的对抗事件上。美国海军学会（USNI）网站、美国“军事”网站、美国《海军时报》等媒体在6月28日报道“海上微风”演习的消息时，都用大篇幅文字回顾了俄英黑海对抗的过程。
美国“军事”网站称，美国海军的“罗斯”号驱逐舰已经抵达乌克兰敖德萨港参加演习。美国海军舰长凯尔·甘特在28日表示，30多个国家参加此次“海上微风”演习凸显了对于确保国际水域“自由通行”权利的共同承诺。美国海军学会（USNI）网站则称，“海上微风”演习将帮助美乌两国磨炼互操作性。
另外，尽管美国海军宣称本次演习是“海上微风”系列演习规模最大的一次，但从参演力量来看，似乎并非那么齐整。从美军参演力量看，美海军仅派出母港位于西班牙罗塔海军基地的“罗斯”号导弹驱逐舰参演。除美军外，以北约名义参演的兵力为北约快速反应部队常设第二海上大队。该大队由6艘护卫舰与驱逐舰组成，分属意大利、荷兰、希腊和土耳其。乌克兰海军方面则派出25艘舰艇、17架战机、12架直升机和1500人参加，占参演兵力大部分。由此看来，尽管这次演习号称有32个国家参与，但真正派出重要力量的国家不多，一些国家可能派出了一个小队或分队，就算是参演了。
就在演习举行前夕，参演名单上的突尼斯和韩国均表示不会参加此次军事演习。有分析认为，这说明对于明目张胆挑衅俄罗斯的联合演习，一些国家还是比较克制的。
一位中国军事专家对《环球时报》记者表示，从“海上微风-2021”参演兵力的整体情况来看，无先进大型水面作战平台、无先进战术战法验证，仅是常规兵力参演，与近年来美海军主办的“环太平洋”演习无法相提并论，参演各国及美国在俄乌问题上的态度也表现得越来越模糊。韩国与突尼斯的不参与在一定程度上表明各国不愿为乌克兰“开罪”俄罗斯。此外，尽管此次军事演习是乌克兰与美国共同主办的，但美国更像是“例行公事”，通过军演向俄罗斯展示美国军事力量，但却不完全是为了乌克兰所关心的克里米亚等地区利益。专家认为，尽管美乌两国强调此次军演是历史上参加国家最多的一次，但各国在军演前的行动证明这次军演或是雷声大雨点小的一次“海上微风”。
