Business Development and Acquisition Update
On October 15, 2020, Superior acquired all of the equity interests of a Southern California propane distribution company, operating under the tradename, Central Coast Propane (“Central Coast”), for total consideration of approximately US$12.9 million (CDN $17.1 million). The purchase price was paid primarily with cash from Superior’s credit facility. Central Coast is a retail distributor delivering approximately 5.0 million litres of propane to approximately 2,800 residential and commercial customers in Southern California.
On October 27, 2020, Superior acquired the assets of a retail propane distribution company, operating under the tradename, Petro SE Propane (“Southern Propane and Mountain Gas”), for total consideration of approximately US$6.1 million (CDN $8.0 million). The purchase price was paid primarily with cash from Superior’s credit facility. Petro is a retail distributor delivering propane in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

A former governor of Zamfara State Abdulaziz Yari, has appealed against the judgment of a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja which ordered him to forfeit N248m to the Federal Government.
The Media aide to the former governor, Mayowa Oluwabiyi, said this in a statement in Abuja, on Sunday.
He assured members of the public that the appellate court would vindicate Yari.
Oluwabiyi said Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, last Tuesday, ruled that Yari should forfeit $669,248 and N24.3m to the government.
He, however, said, the court gave Yari, 14 days to show cause why he should not forfeit the money.

The Patriots for the Advancement of Peace and Social Development (PAPS) has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), to seek explanation from a former Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulaziz on how he spent N288.4 billion belonging to the state.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, Chairman of PAPS Dr Sani Abdulahi Shinkafi accused Yari of leaving the state in huge indebtedness.
He also said that the court order of a Federal High Court Abuja which ordered final forfeiture of various amounts estimated at about N700 million linked to the former governor, had vindicated the group’s call for the prosecution of the former governor.

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday ordered a final forfeiture of N284, 306, 294.04 linked to a former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, to the Federal Government.
The money was said to have been lodged with Zenith Bank and Polaris Bank.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, who gave the final forfeiture order, said Yari could not prove how he made the huge sum of money while or before serving as governor of the state (between May 29, 2011 and May 29, 2019).
Yari and two companies belonging to him (Kayatawa Nig. Ltd and B.T. Oil and Gas Nig. Ltd.) were indicted for alleged fraud and were dragged to the court by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other-Related Offences Commission.
