New Delhi, April 6 (IANS) She says ideas are mysterious things. They come to us in many different ways and then we begin to make choices and make decisions about what we want to do with them, and shape the work. Delhi-based writer, filmmaker and teacher Samina Mishra wrote the first draft of the 'Jamlo Walks' (Penguin), to be released on April 19, in one sitting. A picture book for ages 7-9, but a story that she hopes children across ages will read.

Mexican Border State Cops Raid Hotel with Migrants — Release Them
Mexican authorities raided a hotel in the border city of Reynosa and discovered a group of 13 Central American migrants. After the raid, Mexican immigration officials released the migrants who were able to prove they had legal permission to be in Mexico.
The raid took place on Friday evening after Tamaulipas State Police responded to an anonymous call about kidnapping victims at a hotel in the Puerta Del Sol neighborhood, the local newspaper
El Manana reported. The migrants claimed that they had not been kidnapped and were simply staying at the hotel. Authorities identified the migrants as seven adults and three underage teens and children from Honduras and Nicaragua.

USU Extension awarded grant to research cover crops in corn

Due to the increased demand for efficiency and sustainability, farmers have to utilize all the resources their land and soil are willing to give them.
Over the years, the dependence on soil resources has only increased as farmers have been asked to produce the same amount of food with less available resources. As production practices have changed to increase efficiency, farmers and ranchers have been searching for ways that they can provide healthy inputs back to the soil.
To understand the implications of this topic it is important to define the term soil health. The Natural Resources Conservation Service defines soil health as “the continued capacity of soil to function as a vital living ecosystem that sustains plants, animals, and humans.”

Germany has followed Canada's lead in moving to put age restrictions on the use of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine because of fresh concerns about links between vaccination and blood clots.
Following an emergency meeting on Tuesday involving Health Minister Jens Spahn and 16 state health ministers, a decision was taken to stop routine use for people aged under 60.
On Monday, Canada's vaccine advisory committee recommended pausing vaccinations with the jab-developed by the Anglo-Swedish drugmaker with Oxford University-in people aged under 55 due to the clotting concerns.

Migrants wait for transportation at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in McAllen, Texas, on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021. U.S. authorities are releasing migrant families at the border without notices to appear in immigration court, and sometimes without any paperwork at all. A spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council, a union that represents Border Patrol agents, said it was done to cut processing time at overwhelmed holding facilities. He said it takes an hour to 90 minutes to prepare one notice to appear in court. (AP Photo/Dario Lopez-Mills)
