If the first number that pops into your head when you think about body temperature is 98.6°F, you have a study from 1851 to thank for that. Carl Reinhold August Wunderlich, a German doctor, took multiple axillary (armpit) temperatures from about 25,000 people, and based on an analysis, he established 98.6°F (or 37°Celsius) as the norm.
The reality though is that normal body temperature is on a spectrum, not an absolute. Body temperature can depend on your age, the time of day, and what you were doing before you popped the thermometer in your mouth or zapped your forehead.

As India reels from 10 straight days of reporting more than 300,000 new COVID-19 cases daily, scientists are racing to determine if the sudden surge is linked to the new B. 1.617 or double mutant variant that has been detected in the country.
The country saw the highest single-day spike of 401,993 cases on Saturday, the Indian Health Ministry said, followed by a slight dip on Sunday of 392,488 cases. But Sunday saw a record number of 3,689 deaths in 24 hours. ....

Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center received funding to establish the National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative – Category II Treatment and Service Adaptation Center. The Center, funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration established the Terrorism and Disaster Coalition for Child and Family Resilience program. The first project of the program was the Gulf Coast Coalition, established in 2017, comprised of representatives from state agencies in the states along the Gulf of Mexico: Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Subsequently, the Northeast Coalition was established (Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York). The final coalitions to be established will be the Midwestern U.S. Coalition and the West Coast Coalition. ....
