The White House announced the final flurry of pardons and commutations Wednesday morning. The list includes many of his loyalists, including former campaign strategist Steve Bannon, Republican fundraiser Eliot Broidy, and Paul Erickson. Recipients also include rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black, who were convicted on weapons-related charges. Many of the pardons and commutations were given to non-violent drug offenders, including a former Marine who was sentenced in 2002 in connection with a cocaine conviction. Adjmi was convicted of money laundering for a Colombian drug cartel in 1996 and served 44 months in prison. Adjmi is the head of A&H Acquisitions, a major but under-the-radar real estate player across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Chicago and Los Angeles. A&H has or previously had stakes in properties including 529 and 568 Broadway in Soho, 213 West 34th Street in Midtown, 21 Ninth Avenue in the Meatpacking District, and 9570 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. It often partners with other big investors from the community on these deals, including Jeff Sutton, Aurora Capital Associates, and Crown Acquisitions, whose founder, Stanley Chera, was a prominent backer of President Trump. ....
A Google engineer who stole 14,000 files of trade secrets on self-driving cars before going to work for Uber has been pardoned by President Trump. Anthony Levandowski, 40, was sentenced to 18 months in prison last August for what a judge called the biggest trade secret crime I have ever seen , although he was not yet in custody. He was one of 73 people pardoned by Trump on his final day in office, with the White House describing him as a brilliant engineer with talents needed by the country.
