oklahoma judge is considering whether a controversial abortion law should take effect or not. if it does, information from women seeking an abortion would be posted online. their names and addresses, though, would be excluded from that. the law requires doctors to ask a patient questions on a ten-page form that includes a woman's age, race and marital status. women would also have to answer from a checklist why they wanted the procedure. three such examples, it changes the life of the mother or would interfere with her education or career, some examples there. critics call the law abusive and an invasion of privacy, but its proen proponents say -- >> it's strong public policy. house bill 1595, again, i think it's a strong piece of legislation, common-sense legislation. >> 37 probing, intense, intensely personal questions, and it will be posted, their answers, on the internet by month and by county. >> now, the website is supposed to be up by march, 2011, and would cost the state about a quarter million dollars every year. so what do you think about this law? should people have to answer a personal questionnaire before getting an abortion or does it stwat your privacy? richelle is here to share your views. richelle, what are you hearing? >> the initial responses that we have, susan, are people that are saying they thought it was an invasion of privacy but now we're starting to have a real discussion about this. we're going to scroll through some of your facebook comments at the bottom of the screen. you'll be seeing that. then we'll have some conversations right now. tracy is holding, calling from new york. tracy, you're one of the people that's in the camp that this is an invasion of privacy. why so? >> caller: i just feel that everything is becoming so political. women should not have to go through this. it is completely their choice to have this. nobody should ever ask any question of why they're doing this. it's a complete invasion of privacy. >> so it sounds like you're probably suspect of what the motiveses are. you think that the motives are to make it difficult to get an abortion, is that what you're -- >> caller: absolutely. they're going to make it so hard for women to ever be able to do this. no doctor is going to want to do this. women should just be completely able to do what they need to do and just live their life. >> okay, thank you very much. sara iholding from oklahoma. sara, you do not have any problem with this type of questionnaire or posting it online. where are you coming from. >> caller: well, when you have an abortion this question is going to ask you tough questions, like how will it affect your life, your education, your career. these are real-life questions that need to be answered. posting it to the internet, hopefully like the bill is trying to propose, will help reduce unwanted pregnancies. people will read this, reconsider their actions and know there is a lot more to abortion than just getting rid of the problem. selfish is not going to cure anything. i think people need to know about what's going on and -- >> let me stop you. so if it does make a woman think twice about having an abortion, then you're okay with that. >> caller: yes. i think people should consider that. >> sara, thank you very much. sara is calling from oklahoma. daniel is calling from arizona. all right, daniel, where do you stand on this? >> caller: well, you know, i stand where, number one, questions are great, education is great, but what we need to do is you're not going to prevent pregnancies by making it tough for people to have abortions. so a list of questions for someone to think about should be between a health care professional and that person whose very difficult and private choice should be respected. >> it's our understanding the doctor will pose these questions from this questionnaire so it will be a conversation between the woman and her doctor. >> caller: yes, but i'm afraid of the tendency for people to be fearful that somehow their name will get out or the pressure or the seeming pressure is a thing that would be difficult. and again, i say the answer to unwanted pregnancies is educate. >> daniel, we're about out of time. >> make these things available so people don't get pregnant to begin with. >> okay, daniel, thank you very much for your phone call. we want to continue to talk about this. do you think it's necessary to ask those personal questions on this proposed questionnaire in order to get an abortion or do you think that this is a total invasion of privacy? do you believe that a person's medical decisions are their own private business? call us right now at 1-877-tell-hln, e-mail us at cnn.com/hln or text us at hlntv. we have this just in. get 'tis the season to give to charities, but how do you know which organizations are naughty or nice? well, hln money expert clark howard tells you the right questions to ask before you make that donation. >> reporter: you know historically nearly half of all charitable giving happens during the holiday season? and i want you to know that there are lots of very worthy causes out there asking for your dough, but this is also the time of year that the real slimy scuss-buckets come out of the woodwork. be careful. if somebody calls you on the phone asking for money, never, ever, ever agree to give money over the phone. you don't know that they're legitimately with the organization. they say they represent, and it could even be an organization with a name similar to a respected one, but may just be a phony baloney. in fact my rules for giving to a charity, give to organizations first that you have firsthand knowledge of. maybe a group that you volunteered with in the past or have benefited from their services. second, with any other group, you want to dig deep before you dig into your pocket and make sure they're a-okay. i got info on that on my website. my website, have seen this video of 10-year-old jean paul screaming and yelling as he was forced to leave the school bus and return to the custody of his father. a lot of questions about whether authorities followed proper procedures, knowing the child didn't want to go with his father. the. >> having seen the video there's always things to suggest as far as having the plaintiff's investigator or december 7th and the trip did coincide with her disappearance. police say verifying that is important in terms of setting up a timeline, although the officer cautioned giving the boy's story too much weight. investigators also searched the home for a second time yesterday but wouldn't say what, if anything, was taken. susan's father says he hasn't given up hope of finding her alive. >> as her stay there in case they want him to testify. >> this day is ridiculous and everyone knows what's going on. everyone knows the abuse that my son is being afflicted by, and it is very, very sad. and i honestly believe that the justice system does not want to be looked at as a country that is a safe haven for kidnappers that will allow a child to remain separated from their only parent and try to there. blame it on a major storm heading for the east coast. the snow is already falling in the north carolina mountains. meteorologist bonnie schneider joins us once again. really tough out there for a lot of travelers in the sky and on the ground. >> that's right. you saw those pictures. a few inches on the ground in the areas of the mountains, but 2 feet expected. if you're flying, you're not alone. we have over 5,900 planes in the sky right now represented here on flight explorer, and the delays are also numerous to kind of match up with the amount of activity we see. you'll see we've got lengthy delays in atlanta, chicago. this is holding steady at an hour and 20 minutes. miami an hour and 30 minutes. washington, d.c., 30 minutes, increasing. oh will it be increasing. we're expecting at least a foot of snow on the ground in washington, d.c., starting overnight tonight and continuing tomorrow. but i want to draw your attention to south florida. this part of the country cannot catch a break. yesterday we had a foot of rain on the ground. that's a foot of water. you can't travel by car when it's raining that hard so you have to go by boat. check out this guy on a kayak. look, that's what you have to do when the weather is this bad and it's still raining there. we had a tornado warning in central miami-dade county that just expired for the homestead area. and let me tell you, this was the second time today we had a tornado warning for this part of miami-dade. so homestead not doing well. there's still rain moving into south florida. also with this big storm. there's chicago, the snow light, more to the north and west but low clouds are causing the delays. snow, rain, wind, you guessed it across the southeast. flooding rains in atlanta, georgia, we're seeing some tremendous thunderstorms. but here's the big, big thing we're watching for tonight and tomorrow going forward. a huge winter storm. 2 feet of snow expected in the mountains and appalachians. once you head up to d.c., philly, we're also looking at snow tonight, overnight and into tomorrow. this nor'easter will hug the coastline and pummel the coast with strong winds, 50 miles per hour for the east end of long island. that means watch out for a blizzard. so not only are we looking six inches of snow, possibly a foot of snow, but once you have that strong wind, wow, it is really looking bad. we're also talking about winter weather warning as well for new jersey, so we'll be seeing heavy snow there. what does this all mean for travel saturday for those of you heading out or doing holiday shopping or maybe taking the week off? well, lots of delays for the the big citieses in the northeast. washington, philly, new york, at least an hour, probably more. also charlotte freezing rain. nearby house. his mother spoke about how he got the beer. >> he got it out of my father's cooler in the back. and how he got it open, i don't understand, because it's one of those tab beers. he goes before all the recent headlines about his infidelity. now an explosive insight about one particular cover shoot a couple years ago. the "wall street journal" reports woods agreed to a rare cover and photo spread in men's fitness magazine in 2007. why does that matter? apparently they say it was to keep compromising photos under wraps showing him with another woman. for more, let's go to "wall street journal" reporter emily of this piece. rita, thank you for your time and joining us to explain this. a couple years ago, tiger woods agreed to this photo shoot in this in-depth interview, things that he rarely does, but why did this in particular raise so much interest at the time? >> yeah, well, the "national enquirer" had actually followed tiger woods around in his home in windemere, florida. and a reporter had taken some photographs of him where he met up with fwhoer woman who's not a wife in a church parking lot. this is sometime around the late winter, spring of 2007. >> inside a church parking lot? >> yeah. >> i want to be clear about that. wow. >> yeah. obviously not on sunday, so the place is rather empty. >> yeah. >> and they took some photographs, and, you know, basically, i mean, it turns out the photographs weren't actually very good. that was one of the things that was so interesting about this. and they called up tiger woods' representatives, and they didn't bother to mention that the photographs weren't very good. they just said they had photographs. and i guess they had enough specifics that, you know, tiger woods' people knew that they actually had been there, and had -- they had real evidence of this. >> so at this point they're realizing that there's nothing they can do to fight this? >> yeah. they thought the "national enquirer" enough to go off and actually publish the story. which we're told from people familiar with this situation, that they actually didn't. they might not have even gone with the story at all. so david, who's running american media, and owns the "national enquirer," actually decided to accept a deal that our understanding was offered by the tiger woods camp. which is supposed for another american media property, men's fitness. >> to make this all go away? >> exactly. tiger woods, as we all know, is a very private person and didn't do this sort of thing very often. so, you know, to pose for men's fitness is a big coup for american media. you know, men's fitness competes with men's health and -- >> and also golf digest. >> well, yeah. and actually, no, i mean, golf digest would say not directly. it doesn't compete directly, which is why golf digest which had an exclusive arrangement with tiger woods allowed this to happen. you know, golf digest people who worked there at the time weren't happy about this. but they allowed it to happen because it didn't technically break the agreement they had with the magazine. >> reed, let me ask you this, though. i don't know if you know this in your reporting, the tiger woods' camp, were they not concerned and stepping out and make this move might raise some red flags? because people who know the business and know how these things go, would think it was so unusual? >> you know, they worked with a law firm, who especially specializes in this kind of a thing. i don't know the specifics of -- i mean, tiger's camp did not comment for this story. i don't know what they were actually thinking, or worried about at the time. but i do know that labley and singer is involved, i'm told, and the vast majority of cases involving celebrities suing tabloids, that sort of thing, labley and singer actually represents the celebrity. so they were in pretty good hands when they negotiated this very detailed contract about, you know, what would actually happen to those photographs, and, you know, what he would pose -- what he would answer in the interview and that sort of thing. >> has the "national enquirer" to anyone's knowledge come forth with details on this story now? >> no. they would not comment on the details of the story. in fact, they say photographs never existed. and, you know, i don't exactly know, you know, whether that means -- they said photographs of tiger woods in a compromising position never existed. i don't know whether that means they're denying photographs were ever taken, or it's just that they didn't show enough to really be compromising. >> this is a fascinating article that you've written, the title is "how tiger protected his image." i think a lot of people are wondering that, with so many things that have come forward in the last few weeks. it seems like there's a couple sides to tiger woods. i think people were interested in this type of question, how did he protect his image. reed with the "wall street journal," reed, thank you. >> thank you. now, cnn has made calls to tiger woods' agent and to american media, the parent company of men's fitness and "national enquirer." so far we have not heard back. new video of this little 10-year-old boy in texas. we've been following this story. saying an emotional good-bye to his mother, after he was forcibly removed from a school son are now missing, and in an interview with mike galanos, diaz says she went to the airport on a hunch the next day looking for her son. >> then i went with my family, my cousins and my aunt to the airport to look for him. and then i saw jean philippe with the pat ports, and then i saw my kid sitting down in the rest area. so i grabbed my son and i told him, please, let's go. and he say, no, because my dad will kill you if i run from him. and i say, that's not true. and then, you know, jean felipe came and i started calling the police. the police came. and they gave him again, because they have the court order. >> that is the video right there of 10-year-old jean paul screaming and yelling as he was taken off that school bus and given over to his father. a lot of people are asking whether authorities followed proper procedures, knowing the child did not want to go with his dad. >> having seen the video, there's always a reason to suggest as far as having the plaintiff's investigator or representatives there, but having the father there, there was no way to avoid that because that was the order of the court to turn the child directly over to the father. in the future, lot of flights are delayed. if you're heading to florida, we are looking at lengthy delays for miami, as well as chicago, atlanta, georgia, plenty of rain here and thunderstorms. also, teterboro airport. that is in new jersey. the rain continues to be a problem. as you drive, we're also looking at snow and sleet. but down in florida, the heavy rain continues from miami-dade. a tornado watch that just expired for that region. i want to take you to north carolina. for those of you that are about to get in the car, this is very important that you know this. driving on i-40 is going to be particularly treacherous. that's a picture of ashville where it snowed earlier today. if you're getting in your car and driving on i-40. say you're heading from hickory and you're driving to the raleigh durham area, you're going to encounter changing weather conditions on i-40, from snow to sleet to rain and even ice. this is very dangerous. so be careful. because we also have blustery winds across north carolina that are gusting up to 30 miles per hour. so that's going to really limit visibility. it's also limited even where the temperature is warmer in atlanta, georgia, columbia, south carolina, getting hammered with rain right now. and we're also looking at rain as well further to the south. to the north, big snowmaker is on the way for tonight and tomorrow. d.c., you'll get a foot of snow, and then watch out for places like new york, particularly on the east end. we're looking for a blizzard watch on long island for tomorrow. a treacherous travel day for today and tomorrow. >> please be careful out there. thank you, bonny. >> sure. tiger woods, balloon boy, white house party crashers, obsessive people in the spotlight. we're going to talk about it with robin meade, along and he's become that, and he's transcended that. we expect so much -- we expect something from him. and there is a group in this country that expects him to fail, wants him to fail and wishes him to fail because he is a black mab. that's how simple that is. and we have to live with that. i mean, we do. >> be sure to catch robin's entire special premiering this sunday at 10:00 p.m. eastern. an oklahoma judge is considering whether a controversial abortion law should take effect. if it does, information from women seeking abortion would be posted online. not with their names and addresses, but the information would be online. the law requires the doctors to ask questions that include a woman's age, race, marital status, and women would also have to answer from a checklist about why they're having the procedure. maybe they could say it changes the life of the mother, or they could reply it would interfear with their education or career. those are some of the choices on this form. critics call the law abusive and invasion of privacy. proponents say it could help prevent future unwanted pregnancies. this website is supposed to be up and going by march of 2011. it would cost the state about a quarter million dollars a year. is it a good idea to have to answer those questions, to have an abortion? or do you see it as an invasion of privacy? we're going to scroll some facebook comments you've been posting at the bottom of the screen while we have a conversation about this. jane is calling from oklahoma city. the state where this is all happening. jane, you don't think this is a good idea? >> caller: no. this is awful. my husband and i are college educated, working oklahomans. we made a decision to have an abortion last year despite our genuine best efforts to not get pregnant in the first place. it's incensive to me, and having them questioning my reasoning. we didn't just sit down and go, no, we're not going to do this, we tried to plan how this would affect us. and i can't believe that this is appropriate in any way, shape or form. >> do you question the motivations behind it? >> caller: i don't know. the motivation behind it? it's their form of trying to scare people, i think. it's not necessary. >> okay, jane, thank you very much for your phone call. cindy is calling from ohio. cindy, you're coming from the other side. you think that having this conversation with the doctor, performing the procedure, over this question, you think it's a good idea? cindy, you there? >> caller: oh, yes, i am. yes, i do. i think that the girls need to work out all the options. and it would be good for the world to understand why women actually have abortions. and i am totally against abortion under any circumstance. but not all women have abortions because of convenience, because like the jane that was just on, she had people to talk to, to make the choice to make that choice. not everyone does. when you've got a 14-year-old child that is pregnant by her stepfather, you know, these things can be -- when these questions are asked, i mean, people are having abortions because of increst, overage partners because they're afraid their partner's going to go to jail -- >> you think there would be some good that could come out of asking this type of information and learning it? >> caller: yeah. and it's not just the fear of having the abortion itself, it's why they're having the abortion. >> cindy, thank you very much. calling from ohio. keep calling. we want to talk about this. do you think it is necessary to ask personal questions in order to get an abortion, or do you feel this is an invasion of privacy? if you want to get your comment in, just serb richelle carey hln and post a comment. you can also call us, 1-877-tell-hln. or richelle. the administration wants to see 1 million plug-in hybrid and electric cars on the road by the year 2015. but costs could wind up being a major obstacle. a new study from the national research council finds that next year it's going to cost $18,000 more to manufacture a plug-in hybrid than a conventional car. that's because the battery is so expensive. and it could be decades before the upfront costs come down enough to cover the fuel savings. for example, let's go ahead and look at gm's chevy vault. it finds it won't be cost effective for buyers until 2040. gm calls the nrc's battery cost estimates bloated and says they will come down quickly. richelle? >> allison, so if these cars are expensive and may not pay for themselves for years, will they ever really catch on? >> that's a really good question, richelle. to make these cars more attractive to buyers, subsidies are going to be needed. the stimulus act provides a federal tax credit of up to $7,500 to plug-in hybrids next year. that would bring the volt's price tag down below $33,000. that's still a pretty good chunk of change. at the same time ordinary gas-powered cars get more fuel efficient and are a lot cheaper, and don't need to be plugged in. there are challenges to the administration's goal of 1 million plug-ins on the road by 2015. we've got more on this story at cnnmoney.com. and on with it is the fact that there is people who aren't able to afford to have the children and have no real options. >> okay. >> caller: i'm the father of a child that was aborted back in the early '70s, "the wall street journal" reports woods agreed to a rare photo and cover sped in "men's fitness" magazine to keep compromising photos of him and another woman under wraps. that reporter, lead writer, told me what happened next. >> deck tucker, who runs american media and owns the "national enquirer," actually decided to accept a deal from our understanding that was offered by the tiger woods' camp, which was to pose for another american media property, "men's fitness." >> to make this all go away? >> exactly. he -- tiger woods, as we all know, is a very private person and didn't do this sort of thing very often. so to -- to pose for "men's fitness" was a big coup for american media. "men's fitness" competes with "men's health." >> and also "golf digest." >> well, actually, no, it doesn't compete directly, which is why "golf digest," which had an exclusive arrangement with tiger woods allowed this to happen. "golf digest" people who worked there at the time weren't happy about this but they allowed it to happen because it didn't technically break the agreement that tiger woods had with that magazine. >> american media denies it all saying the reports are inaccurate and false. woods' agent declined to comment to "the wall street journal" about this report or any allegations about marital infidelity. cnn has made calls to his agent and to american media for comments, and so far we haven't heard back. and another advertiser is putting tiger woods at a distance. the swiss watchmaker tag hoyer said it will downscale the use of the golfer in its advertising campaign. the company said it will continue its relationship with woods but will modify his advertising. the swiss company is the latest sponsor to back away from woods said he admitted to being unfaithful to his wife. new insight into cincinnati bengals wide receiver chris henry's final minutes. a witness said he was begging his i need a police officer on oak road. i'm riding behind a yellow truck. it's an f-150. the tag says, it has a black man on it and no shirt on it. he has his arm in a cast. he has black pants on. he's beating on the back of this truck window and the truck is driving. i don't know if he's trying to break in it or something just looks crazy. it's a girl driving it. >> you said the vehicle is occupied week on hln. you're seeing a 10-year-old boy in texas trying to say good-bye to his mother after he was forcibly removed from a school bus back in october. jean paul lacombe was upset and crying and given a few minutes to say good-bye to his mother and brother. he was said he was tricked by a judge. the mother said she went to the airport on a hunch the next day looking for her son. >> then i went with my -- with my family, my cousins and my aunt to the airport to look for him, and then i saw phillipe at the mexican counter with the passports and i saw my kid sitting down in the rest area. so i got my son and i told him, "please, let's go." and he say, "no, because my dad will kill you if i run from him." and i say, "that's not true." and when phillipe came and i start calling the police and then the police came and, you know, they gave him because they have the court order. >> and that is the video of 10-year-old jean paul screaming and yelling as he was forced to leave the school bus to be returned to the custody of his father. a lot of people are asking whether authorities followed proper procedures knowing the child didn't want to go with his dad. >> he could have waited until the child was outside the bus, but there's no telling what might have happened outside. for example, during the time they were there, there was another male there shouting to the boy in spanish for him to resist. well, we're responsible for the child once we get out there and trying to execute it. if the child tried to run away, run into traffic, hit by a car or injured by the bus, we would have been responsible. having the child contained inside the bus or where there's less chance of answer incident, that probably was a better choice than doing it outside that day. >>
