>> no. >> it is good >> henry: you talk about changes that i don't remember reading about and my wife was pregnant. >> correct. and changes i do not remember when i was pregnant. when i got pregnant things changed very quickly. nobody told me how to transform with this was going to be patrick physically, emotionally, and transformative lee. intellectually. >> i was an academic, a writer, and it was transformative. and i started investigating my own pregnancy while i was pregnant. it seems like your internal body organs get a range, blood, everything. >> henry: perceptions that did not come out in your research? >> your perception of time? >> yes! the physical changes were early warnings for the promotional physical and physiological changes. because i was so sick with morning sickness i was grounded in reality, and the moment. in a with that i'd never been, but for. the pregnancy may be slowed down and take stock of my life. and i was a dancer. >> henry: you were a dancer and pregnancy did not slow down? >> not so much. however, when i was so sick with morning sickness in the have a little bit of sciatica. once i got over those two things i danced. i was dancing the week before i was before giving birth for a with a swing dance, even during the jitterbug. off >> henry: to enjoy that? >> it was okay but i did not think it is that much fu. >> henry: perhaps the pregnancy influenced? >> politically i did change. one of the things that became clear when i became pregnant because the first nine months is about becoming a mother. it is about the transformation. that is how this book is really different but i realized my home life. the domestic life was much more important than i ever imagines. a lot of research i had done on the feminism became deeply relevant. the radicalism of the domestic state with a whole matter, and a home can be transformative an interesting. and i thought that was never going to quit working. i never thought that i was going to keep from my daughter from getting an education. but i think with undervalued at the domestic state and i think we've done a disservice to women, children, family. for this test to make the home secondary. and i think that does not to anybody any favors. i would like to see those issues, with child care, flex time, and generally considered women and children issues become a regular issues. >> henry: the body count and with and you realize?
