it's out of the senate waiting in house for action. there's no reason we can't get this done. time to sign the act and get moving. >> one of the areas where the parties are in agreement. congressman bacon, how much of this is based on fears of china's threat to taiwan, a possibility of invasion there and immediately you lose a big portion of the world that we depend on for these chips? >> jim, that's a very good point. taiwan is under threat from china. we rely quite a bit on taiwan for semiconduct yours ors we rely quite a bit on taiwan for semiconduct your and we can be dependent overseas for a big part of our economy. we see it with our automobiles as josh already mentioned, without the semiconductors, people are waiting seven, eight, nine months to get a new car. >> yep. >> but you're right. taiwan is vulnerable. a lot of our semiconductors we get from taiwan and a huge issue. >> cars basically are like computers before wheels. everything's dependent on chips.
