people in tampa. >> outrage over a snapchat video exclusive to abc news that was posted to social media minutes before the driver, pablo cortes iii, lost control of his car and crashed into a family's minivan. >> team coverage. we are live at tampa general where the victims are recovering. we go to lindsay logue, with more. she joins >>reporter: good morning. truly shocking to see this video. watch it again. it is taken of pablo cortes as he drives over the howard frankland bridge. the posted speed limit is 65 miles an hour but according to the snapchat app, he was clocked at 115 and the video coconut palm drive. i will show more of the video. it was taken by his girlfriend, sitting in the passenger seat and you can see the speed filter on the app, it is popular. it shows as cortes hits 82 miles an hour and then 115. shortly afterwards, he lost control of the car and witnesses said they had no time to react. >> it was going so fast. it hopped behind me. i escaped. it's traumatic. >>reporter: the car slammed head-on into a minivan killing the mother and two of her children. they were coming home from church and cortes and his snapchat filter has been at the center of a deadly crash investigation and there are lawsuits because of it and people are pleading with the creators of snapchat to ask them to get rid of the speed filter. they said it promotes speeding. live in attentive and made sure they did her homework. she yelled at them like a big sister and she loved them. >>reporter: lena, her cousin and another man remain at tampa general. 9-year-old john, 10-year-old maria and their mom were killed in the wreck. >> we are in shock and don't know what to do. we are lost. we lost three family mbe to mango elementary were classmates made cars to remember them. their deaths are hitting the students and staff, hard. >> we let students know they are resilient and capable of handling difficult things. >>reporter: the family is making funeral arrangements, him over. he crashed and ran off and as he did, he fired shots at an officer chasing him on foot. a bullet grazed an officer's head and he was released in the hospital one day later. the suspect is the woods and promised him candy. the boy ran toward the bus stop the good news the boy was not harmed and this morning school bus stops from what we could tell all went smoothly. now, pasco county the people inside the building managed to get out safely. but several did not. firefighters were able to get in the building but several explosions forced them back outside. it took them 4 hours to put the flames out. injuries were minor on one fire fighter. no cause yet. two people killed two people in sarasota county from a house fire. stafrting at 10:00 in morning the victims were 268-year
