for a place like st. petersburg, but still clearwater beach coming off land, it's really been an interesting forecast as really i think a lot of the readings could be coming in as the high tide starts to rise. >> nicole mentioned the eerie feeling. that's a lot of folks in tampa bay watching another catastrophe go by. you had ian and irma to the south. now idalia which will be moving off to the north. but we have some problems here. i'm concerned into the high tide cycle early afternoon hours tomorrow, because now you've got this. you saw those wind particles. you were making this point, jane. that's not even a true onshore flow just yet. by the way, those numbers, that's above what would be considered the average high tide from the past 30 years. in this particular case, those numbers would be a little bit above zero anyway, because the high astronomical tide with the full moon. then you've got the surge effects. but these are going to build up through the overnight hours when the wind doesn't allow that water to flow back out of the bay. that's the one that i'm curious

Ana Cabrera Reports

>> judge chutkan is a no nonsense judge and i don't think she appreciated the bombastic comments claiming he was not only representing donald trump, but the u.s. constitution and the american body politic. and, you know, ultimately she didn't buy his legal arguments either, that he needed more than two years to get ready to try this case because of what he described as this huge volume of documents that the government is turning over in discovery. she appeared to adopt the government's perspective on this, which is, yes, there are a lot of documents, 12.8 million pages, but we live in an electronic age and you can use key word searches to make sense of them, most of them are duplicative anyway, a lot of them came from donald trump himself and a lot of this evidence had been made public months ago by the january 6th committee. so, you know, judge chutkan also asked john lauro to provide a reasonable estimate of how long he actually needed, but he didn't get off that april 2026

more like governor chris christie. it is hard to think who they think their audience is because they're running in a republican primary that, you know, now the republican base voter, ramaswamy, trump, that is seeming to be what they are looking for. nikki haley was great. but when you are hypocritical on attacks on spending and hedging on abortion compared to your other rivals on the stage and talking about defending u.s. aid for ukraine, these are all positions that may make sense in a general election audience, and maybe with some swing voting women. but i don't know how they're going to play -- >> also, what they believe, it is a conundrum. if the things that you believe are really far away from the core tenants of maga or trump politics and you're at 3% or 5% anyway, why not say what you think. i mean, like if you're goal in this race, chris christie for example, is to get republicans to rethink what they've signed

but that's not going to work. i mean, if you once these squatters have the clear residency and it's in the in the court, if he goes in there and do that, he'll be cited for trespass and will be taken to jail. now, i've been covering this for a while, covered it in florida and pennsylvania recently. i found in my new york apartment we have squatters there. so they had there was a vacant apartment and they leave sometimes in new york. they leave the doors open so all the realtors can go show the apartment. well, one of the squatters moved in and now they're having to wait until the court system gets them out. sometimes it can take six or seven months to get them out. i mean, i like how he has this innovation. but if you think this is going to work in your state, in most cases it's not. >> well, it depends upon how bright squatter is. the squatter might just say, you know, this isn't working and not go court. not everyone knows what the law is. luckily for homeowners in those anyway, he he says he likes to install cameras at every room. what do you think of that? couple of things.

u.s. attorney for delaware in 2018 by then president donald trump. joining me now is harry lippman former u.s. attorney for los angeles time legal affairs columnist and host of the talking feds podcast. harry, thank you very much for being here this morning. david weiss was already investigating hunter biden as i mentioned in the intro. so why would he seek the power of the special counsel title? >> he's been investigating it for five years, and he had by his own testimony, on trampled authority. this designation lets him take cases to other districts. he could've done that anyway, but now he doesn't have to ask. and the suggestion jonathan is that he is interested in bringing attacks case against biden it either los angeles or california, and as the u.s. attorney in delaware, he wouldn't have automatic authority for that.

allies which basically said, yeah, we know we have lost but we are going to do this anyway. because it might be a way to stall things and keep biden from becoming president. so it's going to depend on the facts in each state, it's also going to depend on each state's law. >> you bring up one really interesting detail of returned to a few times on the program. in a few states, i believe it was new mexico in pennsylvania if i'm not mistaken. they added a caveat. there's one in pennsylvania. i like michigan, pennsylvania's alternate electors are unlikely to face criminal repercussions because of an important legal can be added to the document. saying the votes they were casting should only be counted if it court found that they were the duly elected qualified electors. i find that so fascinating. and some, ways it is just a sentence with a conditional clause. well lawyered i'd say. but it's also the difference between trying to commit fraud not trying to commit fraud.
