近日，一名澳大利亚前陆军少将再次炒作“与中国开战”的话题。他警告说一旦美澳与中国交战，美国很可能会输，而澳大利亚军队可能只能撑得了“几天”时间。但他也认为，战争不是不可避免的，主要的冲突是在中美之间，而不是在中澳之间。

莫兰表示，不要想当然地认为美国会保护澳大利亚免受中国的攻击。他强调，美军比大多数人的想象要弱，美军此前的秘密军演已经外泄，这表明如果与中国发生冲突，美军可能会被击败。“美国人的情况相当糟糕，他们已经把屁股送给了对手，在一系列的演习中被打败了。”
莫兰还警告说，如果中美在台湾问题上发生冲突，美国可能会输，而澳大利亚只能自谋生路。他说：“如果美国人真的进攻台湾，结果他们输了，而且他们输的可能性相当大，那么我们（澳大利亚）就得靠自己了。”但是澳大利亚人此前曾被警告说，该国的国防力量也靠不住。莫兰对澳大利亚国防军的“卓越”和“才智”给予肯定，但他强调这支部队根本不是中国的对手。他表示：“澳大利亚国防军的规模太小了……撑不了几天。”“他们打得再努力也不够，他们的规模不够强大，没有足够的力量来保卫这个国家。”“即使在未来10年的时间里，这支部队也不够强大。”

【文/观察者网 齐倩】数月前，在部分澳大利亚媒体和政客嘴里，中澳“不日开战”可谓是板上钉钉，把本国超42%的民众都给忽悠“瘸”了。如今，这种骇人听闻、极为疯狂的“战鼓言论”又重出江湖。
当地时间7月27日，澳自由党籍参议员、前陆军少将吉姆·莫兰（Jim Molan）接受澳媒体“太空新闻”节目采访时妄称，澳大利亚需要开始接受并准备与中国开战。但他也提醒，澳军在面对中国时只能撑两天。
在同日接受澳大利亚当地电台4BC采访时，莫兰还补充称，不要想当然认为美国前来帮忙，因为美军比想象中要弱，澳大利亚只能自谋生路。

在节目一开始，莫兰便向主持人强调了自己此前的观点：“如果中国想与我们开战，如果我们加入美国，澳大利亚会在48小时内被中国击败。”
当被问及太平洋地区是否会有一场全面战争时，莫兰回答，他不认为一场战争一定会发生，但“战争的可能性比大多数人愿意承认的要大”。他补充道：“对我们来说，中国以及国家安全是最危险的问题。”
随后，莫兰声称，他担心的是中美间会在台海问题上发生战争，澳大利亚会受到“附带损害”。
他还警告称，不要想当然地认为美国会保护澳大利亚免受中国的攻击，因为，美国军队比大多数人意识到的要弱——美国可能会输，澳大利亚只能自谋生路。
“美国人的情况相当糟糕——他们被人出卖了。”他说，从一些已经被泄露的机密中可知，如果与中国发生冲突，美国军队被打败的“可能性相当大”。
“中国可在48小时内击败澳大利亚”
既然美国不可靠，那澳大利亚就靠自己？
另据澳大利亚广播公司（ABC）27日报道，莫兰在接受4BC电台采访时，对澳大利亚军事力量也不报希望。他首先赞扬了澳大利亚国防军（ADF）的“卓越”和“聪明”，但强调它根本不是中国的对手。
“国防军太弱小了……撑不了几天。再努力也不够，因为他们没有足够的力量来保卫这个国家。至少在10年内，我们的军队仍不够强大。”
但莫兰表示，对澳大利亚来说，并不全是厄运和悲观。他强调，主要的全球冲突发生在中国和美国之间。“我认为我们（澳大利亚）不会受到攻击。中国的目标不是我们。中国的目标是美国。”
此外，莫兰又开始将矛头对向了处于风波之中的达尔文港。今年5月，澳大利亚政客打折国家安全的旗号，介入正常的中澳商业合作，重新审查中国的岚桥集团（Landbridge）租借澳达尔文港99年的协议。
莫兰表示，澳大利亚军队应该对可能发生的战争保持谨慎，把重点放在国内战略安全上，第一步就是夺回“至关重要的”达尔文港。

值得一提的是，身为前军方高官的莫兰在对华问题上一直以来十分激进。在2018年当选参议员后，他不止一次公开煽动澳联邦政府与中国“开战”。
2018年5月，他曾在南海问题上胡言论语，称“除全面战争”，没有什么能够把中国军队从被他们加强军事部署的岛屿逐出。去年12月，莫兰还宣称，中澳之间“令人生厌的贸易争端”将升级为军事冲突，中国已经做好了“开战的准备”，所以澳政府应为“最坏的情况”做打算。
除莫兰外，近一段时间，部分澳媒体和政客对炒作“战争”议题格外上心。今年4月，澳大利亚内政部秘书佩祖罗（Mike Pezzullo）曾发出警告称，全球“战鼓”正在敲响，澳大利亚需要为地区冲突做好准备。
澳大利亚对反华内容的连番炒作，把本国民众都给忽悠“瘸”了。澳智库“澳大利亚研究所”（Australia Institute）7月初的一份民调结果显示，超过42%的澳大利亚人相信中国与澳大利亚会在不久的将来开战。
对于澳政客和媒体的“战鼓已响”言论，外交部发言人赵立坚此前表示，澳大利亚个别政客出于一己私利，热衷发表煽动对立、渲染战争威胁言论，这种做法极不负责任，注定不得人心。
