In a new feature for Open Air’s Corona Radio Theater initiative, we are happy to welcome Canadian playwright, actor, director and storyteller M.J. Kang to the show. As a storyteller, she has won three Moth slams, a National Storytellers slam and a Story Collider slam. She will be performing virtually as part of the Women's Storytelling Festival from March 19-21, produced by Better Said Than Done and the National Storytellers Network.

Peter Callender (pictured), and discusses his recent and upcoming theatrical activities. Plus, Peter Robinson reflects on the passing of poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti. 
Bay Area theater phenomenon L. Peter Callender is a native of Trinidad, West Indies. As an actor, he has worked professionally for over thirty years, after receiving his formal training at the Juilliard School in New York City; the Webber/Douglas Academy in London, England; and The Tadashi Suzuki Company in Toga-mura, Japan. Callender is an associate artist at the California Shakespeare Theater, and since 2009, has served as Artistic Director of the African-American Theater Company (AASC) in San Francisco.

Hearts in San Francisco has become one of the most widely recognized public art projects around the world. Over time, San Francisco Bay Area artists have created more than 480 Hearts that have gone on display across the city of San Francisco and beyond and have, in combination with other Hearts events, raised more than $32 million  to support patient care at San Francisco General.
