gretchen? >> wow. thanks so much for that update. so the uaw had a huge opportunity to get in the door, right? in a southern right-to-work state, but ended up failing despite two years of planning and even volkswagen's cooperation with the union. joining me now is our biz panel. all right. i think some people were surprised that with all of the efforts of volkswagen to say, hey, it appeared they were saying the union will be a good thing for you. why the fail in your mind? >> i think the people are speaking out, actually. i don't think people are as happy with the unions as they were 10, 15, 20 years ago. we're seeing a major, major shift in the system. >> why? >> i think management is treating people more fairly. people do have a right to work also. and if you're involved in a large block of people, people have a right to work. >> so kate, you cover business

obamacare would help or hurt their budget and wondering when the sluggish economy in the beginning of the year would finally turn around. what does 2014 have in store? joining me now is our biz panel. kate rogers of fox business. simon constable, columnist at "the wall street journal." ari zoldan, ceo of quantum networks. let me start with you, ari p p you can come at this from a small business perspective. what were the challenges of 2013? >> i think first it was banks and lending. i found out -- i found out in the beginning of the year it was really tough for banks to be able to open up their doors for credit fa similarities. towards the end of the year, i'm seeing right now that things have loosened up a bit. but issues with insurance and hirie ining talent has still be major obstacle. >> health care was such a big issue. they did get the delay till 2015. did that extend pain and uncertainty? >> it extends uncertainty. this administration keeps being

"anchor man 2" hits theaters this week. talk about product placement. the sheer number of brands in this film is astounding. to my biz panel i say here you have a guy, will ferrell, who in character does the newscast. a few weeks ago. is this brilliant marketing, matt? let me start with you. >> i love it. look at all the numbers that came out. my opinion is one thing. look at the numbers. look at the sales of the autos he's pushing. he did a segment in canada on curling. one of the bigger sports on there. their ratings are through the roof from the last time they had curling on. it's amazing what one person, one celebrity can do. why would future movies not do this? if it's working, we're going to see it more often. >> it has to be done right, also. you can't have product placement for the sake of product placement. if it's executed properly within the right ecosystem it can be very powerful. >> obviously if it's a movie that's not going to have a lot of eyes it's ir vel vant. >> dodge must be doing something
