time when i have to go on to the next scene. miraculously, knock on wood, nothing devastating has happened. the scenes i look forward to with bryce are the quiet scenes and he's sort of a humane, almost fatherly figure. it's nice to sit and talk to bryce and not have to sing and dance for a few minutes. >> reporter: is he a loyal son avenging his mother's death or a shameless social climber. turns out it's both. >> it's like the rules of the game are being played. once you start playing it gets to be fun. the first murder is like when the cork is popped. i just love when the audience goes, oh, now we get the game. >> reporter: genevieve shaw brown, abc news, new york. >> i would love to go see that. >> we should go. >> we should go? >> we should take "world news now" field trip. >> that sounds great. i haven't seen any theater in the past year that i've been here in new york, right? >> there we go. let's go see something murderous and hilarious. coming up, what america is
