(catherine) a toddler in the east bay is expected to make a full recovery after nearly drowning. it happened last night at a home in concord. police say a 20-month-old boy fell into a hot tub. family members quickly rescued him and performed c-p-r until an ambulance arrived. the little boy was taken to the hospital where he s in stable condition. (catherine) an audit of the university of california system has resulted in a troubling accusation against its administrators - that they hid lots of money from the public. california s auditor says top administrators hid 175-million dollars from thepublic and lawmakers in a secret reserve fund. and they did it, according to the report, even while raising tuition and asking thestate for more money. the scathing report was released today..saying that u-c president janet napolitano s office created the undisclosed budget over four years - so the money could be spent with little or no oversight. napolitano denies the claim.. she argues the true amount of money in reserve is 38- million..and says that s a modest amount to stash away for unexpected expenses.. meantime, lt. governor gavid newsom - who s also a u.c. regent - is angry aboutthe revelation. he says it s outrageous to force tuition hikes on students while hiding secret funds. he wants recent tuition hikes to ....

(chuck)well, the santa rosa police department, the sonoma county sheriff s office and the coroner s office are calling this a disturbing trend and they want to warn the public. over the past ten days, 5 people in santa rosa have died from apparent drug overdoses. 3 men and 2 women, ages 27-66. the sonoma county sheriff s office says that 3 of the victims died in public places. sot toxicology tests on the victims showed they all had heroin in their systems but it s highly unusual for so many people to die from overdoses in such a short period of time in the same area. authorities suspect the victims may have gotten the heroin from the same source and that the drugs may have been tainted.sotthe concern now is that more people may use heroin from that tainted batch and authorities are hoping to warn the public before it s too late.sot says at this point we don t know if something ha ....
