Buildings collapse, then a tsunami brings even more devastation. Well have the latest. And signs of the times from banners and billboards to Old School Lawn signs, these displays of democracy have been seen as a predictor for an areas election results. How true is that . We begin with a look at todays eye opener, your world in 90 seconds. Millions more will vote by tuesday. And i believe when you use your power to vote, well change the course of this country and the course of history. There are just three days left before election day. There will be no heating in the winter. No air conditioning in the summer and no electricity whatever the hell you want it. Right now you have it made. Youre so lucky. You are so lucky im your president. We are better than this. And we deserve better than this. The candidates race across the country fighting over votes in the battleground states. Its really a choice between the trump boom and a biden depression. We are rounding the turn on the pandemic w
The president s own voters. He is calling the game at the end on end of the First Quarter and its extraordinary. We have never had a situation like this, in the country. The president is a steward of the american electoral system, as a member of it, he is a steward of the american system and he is trying to under mine it while the count is still going on. And the last time that we had a dispute that went to the court force Supreme Court as the president said, he thinks will go. You had two candidates who ultimately accepted the outcome of the courts. Ultimately accepted and said, we have to carry the weight of the office that john just described. To have the president jump that gun and make calls and frankly, norah, as gail was saying, there were a lot of things that were untrue. We can look at the map over your head and see the state of texas was called in his favor, he said it was not. Georgia and North Carolina remain toss ups on our map because of all the details you just laid out.
Its been six months now since the 26yearold emt was killed in her own apartment by louisville police, and after months of protests in the streets, online, and at major sporting events, the city of louisville has finally responded. A Major Development in the killing of breonna taylor. Attorneys for taylors family say they have reached a settlement with the city of louisville, kentucky. That settlement includes a financial agreement and Police Reforms. 12 million in a civil settlement for breonna taylor. But the lawyers and the mom and everybody there making it clear that this fight is not over. They did announce, though, that along with that civil settlement, there are a number of Police Reforms including a housing credit for officers to live in lowincome housing, to live in the communities they police; creating a program to include social workers for assistance on police runs; a Commanding Officer to review search warrants before the officer seeks a judicial warrant. Those are some pre
Life, unlike what happened with breonna taylor, who was left on the ground after being shot for 20 minutes. Another reform is that officers will now be incentivized to live in the communities they police. Which is a step in the right direction. Ill be hont with you. I cant even believe police are allowed to live outside the areas they patrol. You would think they would have an invested interest in the communities they live. Living in the country hes in charge of which i know, technically, putin does with america, but you know what im saying. And, obviously, a large part of this settlement is the 12 million paid to Breonna Taylors family, which is a record for the most money louisville has ever paid for police misconduct. But, honestly, thats not really the type of records we want black people to be setting. And the thing thats messed up about these settlements is its never paid by the police who did something wrong. Its paid by the city. Which which means taxpayers are being punished f
