Deere s motto is nothing runs like a deer. right now 14 different locations aren t running at all after 10,000 workers went on strike this morning. they decided to walk out after a deal to bump their wages fell through. joining us to discuss, cnn business correspondent. john deere s stock is doing pretty well. why did they reject this deal to increase their workers salary? you know, members voted to actually reject the proposal on the table two weeks ago between the uaw, the united auto workers, and john deere because most didn t think it was good enough. now they are calling for higher wages. the negotiations are happening at that time when things are going well for john deere. this year so far stock for john deere is up more than 22%. revenue for the first three quarters of deere s fiscal year rose to $32 billion. so the current financial success at deere, that may have led to ....
. new this morning, the new york times is reporting that boeing has asked thousands of passengers if they will be too scared to fly on the ground a 737 max when it comes back into service. cnn business correspondent is joining us. this is so interesting. tell us what boeing learned. reporter: hi, good morning, we are learning that boeing has been doing a lot of behind the scenes damage control. we know in new york times documents they have obtained that boeing has been doing calls to passengers around the world, thousands of them, asking them whether or not they would feel safe flying on this max 737 once it goes back into the air. and we found through this reporting by the new york times that about 40% of passengers say they would not feel safe flying on these airplanes again. that is the same percentage in october and december. so passengers clearly feeling like they aren t going to be ....
