mccarthy will not be able to deliver the votes for whatever deal he strikes with biden. a week from now i don't know how we are any closer without a strong democratic win in the debt limit debate. and i would also say that that means that at some point we do need to hear voices of support from chuck schumer and senate democrats to remind the nation that mccarthy's position could not get through the senate. who knows what to get through the senate, it is not mccarthy 's current position. >> andrew, i, mean this is why we are hearing 60 plus progressives calling on the president to consider the invocation of the 14th amendment, in part as a counter weight to these conservatives, regardless of how legally perilous or complicated it might actually be. it is why you are hearing some talk of, can the white house siphon off enough moderate republicans to reach a deal on their own without kevin mccarthy. which of these scenarios at this point actually seems the most likely? >> the latter wouldn't jeopardize speaker mccarthy speakership of course.
