moment, they have little or no chance of getting to safety. emma murphy, itv news, libya. >> difficult to watch. here's your first look at some of the other news going on around america today. a dallas deputy jumped into action after spotting a cascade of sparks shooting from a passing car. the 20-year veteran's dash cam was rolling as he attempted to kick out the driver's window before that car erupted into flames. the driver, unaware that his car was on fire before the explosion, was able to unlock his door and escape without any serious injuries. it was a tragic start to the school week in one pennsylvania school district. one of its drivers lost her life when she crashed into a building. the accident happened just after the driver dropped off high school students and was on her way to pick up kindergarteners. a six-ton street sweeper made quite a mess inside a denver barbecue restaurant. the vehicle barreled through the walls, coming to a stop 15 feet inside the eatery.

went out with the deputy from the youngstown sheriff department who took us out to see the volunteer firefighters who are battling the fire, and this is incredibly difficult work, because the terrain is rough and rocky and rolling and easy to lose your bearings to where you are and easy to look track of where the flames are. there is a lot of communication going back and forth between the various firefighters out there on the ground and kind of everyone watching each other's backs as the flames can fire up. we saw it as soon as we pulled up with a hot spot that flamed up into the ground jumping six to eight feet high which happened in a matter of seconds. you can see what firefighters are battling against, and strong winds gusting up to 30 miles an hour in some places and over 90 degrees, so it is a very, very hot out here and the sun is very punishing on the firefighters. in this area, it is a massive fire that is kind of stretching over three counties west of ft. worth and some 50,000 acres have been burned in the last four or five days, and last count, we heard from the texas forest
