president. look, they are not treating him the same as other people. i think michael can speak to it. we had on cnn last week a former lieutenant from the sheriff's office who describes how when you normally come in your shoelaces are taken from you, your tie is taken from you, your belt is taken from you. >> for risk of suicide. >> for safety reasons. donald trump is not going to have to do anything like that. >> you're right. remember that the secret service is controlling him. they control his person. the only thing the locals will control will be the process. and so the secret service is not going to subject him to things like a normal pat-down search and those types of things that somebody might get when they process in. nor is he going to come into a crowded booking room that might be the case on any other day with, you know, the smells that go along with jails from sweat and backflowed toilets and -- >> this is a notorious jail.

joining us now with what we can expect, what does that actually look like when someone surrenders themselves at the fulton county jail is retired fulton county sheriff's lieutenant charles rambo. good to have you. this jail is notorious, is that the right word for it? there has been doj complaints against it. what is this going to look like when trump in particular walks in there sometime this week? >> well, provided that he has already been served an indictment, persons who surrender themselves normally will come in through the front door. we have to remember also, again, we're talking about someone who should be under the presumption of innocence as he walks into the door and when he comes in along with other officials, they would be pat down, led to the booking office in the rear.

if you want some real insider trading and straight for main. i have been a new york city cab driver a long time. the way my radio show is going this week i will be a new york city cab driver again. a lot of fast food places locker rooms in the city. drive people to fast food places that don't come out with food. what's going on? they leave their drugs in the lockers. the idea that we found cocaine in a cubby at the white house and the key is missing means whoever put the cocaine in the cubby then gave the key to whoever was supposed to come retrieve it, you're welcome, that's how you solve one of these. >> ainsley: no. you have taken to a different level. you have taken it to a drug deal. >> jimmy: that's how they move cocaine around. if somebody needed to get cocaine into the white house. if you and i were going into the visitor. strip searched. check you for drugs in the airport. you never get naked. the pat down is pretty good and i like it from time to time. stick with me. you don't get strip searched for drugs at the airport. a dog sniffs you. and if you are going through white house security dog sniffs

what else are you learning about the suspect? well what we're learning is pretty limited at this point because he's a juvenile. up until yesterday afternoon. officials were reluctant to release any details about the suspect because he's a juvenile. but then later they decided that he presented such a severe risk to the community that they were willing to start putting out his name at his age. what we know again is that he's 17 year old austin lyle. he was to undergo a safety check every day that he went into that school. that safety check involved a pat down every day. according to officials he had never produced a weapon until yes, yesterday. they were reluctant to give details about why this particular student had a safety plan in place. but they said in general, it is based on past educational as well as behavioral experiences with that particular students, so much more to learn on that, as we move forward, the big question is, of course, how are the victims and we are waiting for more details on their conditions

kind of what's happened and unfolded over the last several days. what do you think if you're him and knowing him as you do? how is he surveying all of this? and what should he be thinking about and considering right now? yeah i have been critical of the merits of this case. based on what we know. i do know alvin bragg. i used to work with him as a federal prosecutor. i do respect his judgment. but again, i have been and will remain critical of what we believe to be the merits of this case. i think there's a couple of things going on here. first of all, perhaps he's just taking a breath and thinking about this. this is a monumental historic decision. and if he needs to take another three days or a week to think it through, that's probably worth it. it also could be as carol reported that they're looking to bring another witness down, and the final thing is i would want to absolutely minimize the time if i had a date set when donald trump was going to come down to manhattan and surrender where i had to coordinate the security, i would want to absolutely minimize the time between that and the unsealing of an indictment. so if i was in alvin bragg position i would look to indict on day one whenever that

birthday. and he was just in his car. there was another -- there was a stolen car, from my understanding, other dps students not from the school and some sort of exchange of gunfire and it hit luis in the head. he was in the hospital for weeks before his family had to make the absolute worst decision to take him off of life support. so the students here have been rocked by that. my son sat next to luis in the spanish class, it's been a tough school year for the kids and the school all the way around. i can also tell you where the pat-down happened was steps away from the auditorium at east high school. my son, my step-son and other kids were inside for a school assembly at the time. so you talk about a trained resource officer being there to be able to engage with someone, what happens if this kid would have gotten away, what happens if they had not found him. just to think about the things, it's just -- it's so frightening
