Rush her children to safety from outside her home on Chestnut Street in west oakland. Now police have arrested 19 yearold anthony sims. He was wounded in the shooting and was later arrested at highland hospital. Mr. Sims was not only present on the day of the murder. But he had an active role in a mutual gun battle. Mondays gunfight erupted after several men got involved in a fistfight between groups of women. One gun was recovered. But police are not saying whether it was used to kill pierce or whether sims fired the fatal shot. Police have released more details about the arrest of 49ers fullback bruce miller.
