journalists are bad. so i fully support this call that i am my colleagues have had since october. meanwhile, in gaza, more than a million displaced people are enduring dire conditions. residents in the al—mawasi area — west of the city of khan yunis — are facing a severe shortage of basic necessities. our reporter stephanie gabbatt filed this report, using video filmed by our bbc arabic teams inside gaza. mohammed al—zawahiri hasjust arrived in the al—mawasi area, which is crowded with tens of thousands of other displaced palestinians. all of them fled from areas in the gaza strip, which saw ground incursions and israeli bombardments. amid piles of waste, animal carcasses and sewage, al—zawahiri set up his tent, which is accompanied him several times during the past few months as he's had to move around the gaza strip.
