i think this is the perfect situation for a rescue. you have a lot on your plate. not just home improvement, but other thing goings in your life and let us take care of the home improvement aspect and you deal with everything else that you have to deal with because that can be kind ever a big deal. >> one of the things i love about the show is you revisit the people that you give whole new lives to and it transforms their lives when you go back. >> it's amazing. we did that for the first time this season and it probably was the most emotional show i've been a part of, and i love coming to the rescue. we saw all of the work that we've been doing and it really is paying off. the family in chicago we rescued they have two autistic children and a third sign who is fine now, but had cancer who he was a boy and they said that by us giving the rescue and giving the autistic children their own room, it strengthened their marriage because they can watch tv together. >> they have all this time. it's all of this energy and when you walk through the door and see the smiles on their faces and it's not just for tv and not just because i'm there. it's their home now. we've been able to overcome a lot just because you were able to help us with the little things. >> whatti differentiates your sw from other shows. >> it's not like a renter or people dreaming for this, they purchased the house and things started to happen. and things spiral out of control, whether somebody gets sick, they have get sick and their family is getting bigger and their house can't accommodate and we come in and we're able to do anything that is watching the show can relate to. we'll have give you to a whole new neighborhood and you're still living in the same neighborhood and the same house with your friends and community, but we're making that house better for you and we'll take care of those leaks and the molding that isn't centered and we'll make sure the house looks good soup to nuts is safe. >> you're looking for someone in our area. >> very much so. >> what are you looking for and how can people get involved? wife were on their way to las vegas, but they got terribly lost along the way. the wife has just been rescued after being stranded for seven weeks alone. george lewis picks up the story. >> it started out as a mystery. on march 19th, albert and rita creechen vanished after they headed to a laing las vegas trade show from their home in british colombia canada. these surveillance photo phrase store calories with hard candy and some maybe some beef jerky. >> reporter: after 49 days rita spotted some huntsers and flagged them down. she had denied the odds and survived. now making what her doctors call a remarkable recovery, rita was able to spend mother's day surrounded by her family. >> we're praying for a miracle and boy, did we get one. >> now their prayers are for finding rita's husband paying tribute to michael jackson. >> a playing show is playing a series of concerts dedicated to the king of pop. the cast consists of 23 musicians, singers and dancers dressed in jackson-style costumes. it is performed in several countries all over the world. a man spent most of sunday afternoon digging a hole in the sand that was 7 feet deep and 6 feet across. rescuers needed two hours to dig him out. the man is a member of the austrian olympic swim team that was training in florida. it was their day off so the guy decided to dig a hole for fun. he jumped in and the sand collapsed
