they say they don't know for sure. it was found by the parents of the mother. it was found in the trunk of a car. the orange paint on the payment marks the spot where the car was parked. and in the trunk of that car, that's where they found the body of a new born. joel lives next door. he was there when the cops got to the scene. >> we asked a few of the officers what was going on and they said they had found a body of an infant. and i pretty much just tried to go inside after that. that's must have to make you just sick. >> police tell the story will way. they say a 32-year-old woman lives in this gray mobile home. they say for some reason yesterday her parents came and cleaned out her car that's wlentd bowhen the body was discovered. >> you believe it's the baby of the 32-year-old woman? >> yes. >> you don't know whether or not a crime has been committed? >> that's correct. >> and you're waiting for an autopsy. >> yes. >> reporter: this happened in the calvert mobile home park. and people who live here are most upset by this disturbing discovery. >> it's horrible. i've never experienced this. >> it's horrifying. i have three kids of my own. my baby's a year old. so it's devastating. >> reporter: the woman is the mother of three other children. a young boy and 2-year-old twins. police say those children are safe and in the custody of others. and the woman is being cared for, as well. >> our prayers into he to the family members who made this find. we'll do everything to resolve this matter. >> reporter: it could be weeks before we know the cause of death. it could be weeks before we know exactly what happened here. live in calvert county, i'm pat collins. news 4. the new jobs report shows 227,000 jobs were added last month. more than analysts expected. the unemployment rate remains unchanged. 8.3%. but that's because a half million americans have started looking for work which is considered a sign of optimism. economists say the last three months of job growth are the strongest since the great depression. today president obama went to prince george virginia to talk about manufacturing. he toured a rolls-royce facility that makes components for commercial aircraft engines. he also unfailed a proposal to build a met work of centers devoted to an innovation in manufacturing. >> we're americans. we're inventor, we're builder, we're thomas edison and wright brothers and steven jobs. that's who we are. that's what we do. as long as i'm president, we'll keep on doing it. we'll make sure the next generation of life changing products are invented and manufactured here in the united states of america. >> the president noted that the manufacturing sector is seeing its first period of sustained job growth since the 1990s. and he called for a renaissance in american manufacture to go build on that moment there's a wind, so it feels cooler than this will i'm yesterday. temperatures falling off. but down around fredericksburg, temperature got up to near 60 degrees. culpepper coming in at 61. we are going to see those numbers fall off very quickly. do not expect any rain. so if you're thinking about heading out and about tonight, you will just need the jackets as though temperatures will be down to around 40 degrees by 11:00 and waking up tomorrow morning, this is inside the beltway to a temperature of about 34. but if you're outside the beltway, you'll be mostlily in the the mid to upper 20s across the area. i'll show you the weekend and next week coming up. there was a gun battle early this morning on the d.c. maryland border. it was a shoot-out between a police officer and the suspect. the officer was treated and released. while the shooter was critically injured. tracee wilkins has more. >> pow pow, pow like that. and he wasn't in a rush. he was walking calmly. >> reporter: this neighbor who did not want to be identified says that after hearing two shots this morning, he ran to his front door and saw a man in a dressing gown walking up the street. he says seconds later police arrived. it turns out that man was the gunman and here is what he says happened next. >> lifted his weapon and fired a couple times toward the cops. they ducked behind the cruiser and ran this way up towards newark street. he continued across the street, walked up the sidewalk and fired between or three more shots. by the time he got to the bus stop there, i heard a volley of shots and he went down. >> reporter: the gun man who 4r lived on eastern avenue was transported to the hospital in crystkri critical condition. one officer injured his hand. he was treated and released. this man who did not want to be shown on camera says his parked vehicle is now considered evidence. how many bullet holes do you think are in your vehicle? species classified as white meat in the u.s. light tuna normally means they're using skip jack or yellow fin tuna. these types are more widely available so they're typically less expensive. when comes to tuna types, solid refers to the portion of a tuna loin sliced in a round shape. and chunky is a mixture of all the different cut pieces of tuna. now you know everything there is to know about tuna. >> our next question comes from ann who has seen the new electric vehicle charging stations at dulles airport.who is paying for that? >> the airport authority gave thus answer. it says as of late february, drivers can charge their electric cars in dulles airport parking ga think ras. the charging stations are part of a pilot project and reagan national will also be getting a charging station within the next month or so. the charging equipment was funded by a grant from the department of energy and the electricity supply is funded by the airport itself. and while electric car drivers don't have to pay to charge their vehicle, they do have to pay the same parking rate as anyone else who parks in the airport garage. >> our last question comes from ren. he says he made a mistake when he's filed his tax return but he's already submitted it. >> the internal revenue service helped with this answer. many mathematical errors are simply caught in the processing of the tax return and the irs will automatically fix those when it processes your return. however, if you you forgot to claim a credit or report all of your income, you should file a corrected return using form 1040-x. this is available at the irs website which is simply irs.gov. once the form is completed, should you receive any refund within 8 to 12 weeks and all corrections must be made within three years of poofiling perspective, this looks like a typical classroom. but inside the academy, it's an incubator of sort, encouraging young women to check out a career that few have chosen to pursue. engineering. >> it completely changed my life. i didn't know what engineering was, so like we did today the guest speaks speakers and we have our mentors. >> reporter: civil engineers have been mentoring in the program for five years. demystifying a male dominated profession they say could use more women in the ranks. >> being a woman engineer i think you have an advantage, not only are you a minority, but and you have different take on things. you have a different viewpoint on life, on problem solving organization challenges. and i think that is such an asset to the peeled. >> reporter: in addition to lectures and mentoring, they also get valuable hands on experience using tool. they even are exposed to robotics. many go on to join the team along with their male counterparts. and get involved in national competitions. the all girl class was the brain child of a career specialist to eliminate the intimidation factor. and you can't argue with its success. >> since our first year, we're very proud to say that we've had over 135 girls participate in the program and of those, we've had about 79 graduate. we're running about an 83% graduation rate off to engineering schools. so we are delighted. >> the students are delighted, as well, who now see a career path they might never have considered. >> exposed me to so much. i really want to go into systems engineering and i want to be able to look at all
