battleground states all of which mr. biden carried in the 2020 election. we will have much more on those poles coming up. >> stop funding genocide. >> it is rewarding israel for its genocide. no more military aid to israel. >> when every other option has been murdered what other option do palestinians have? >> a massive crowd gathered in washington, d.c. yesterday calling for a cease-fire and an end to u.s. aid to israel as many demonstrators called the president "genocide joe." we have fox teams coverage with alexandria, steve harrigan in northern israel and tray in southern israel. we will start off near the gaza border where we see live rocket fire. what is the latest there? >> that is exactly right. this appears like it could actually be antiaircraft fire coming from the gaza strip. we just saw a number of project tiles fired into the air. it is because right afterwards we saw and you could see an explosion for just some of that. it may have been intercepted earlier. it is hard to tell in the dark what exactly happens inside gaza and what is being fired off. also curing loud explosions in the distance. i want to pull out my phone here and i want to tell you exactly, it appears that there are -- some of been medium to long range rockets. that is an israeli airstrike targeting some of that fire. some of it is coming short inside the gaza strip. giving you a sense of what it's like inside the gaza border. i want to tell you more of what it looks like during the day care. you can see our cameras captured the northern part of the gaza strip. this has been a familiar scene as the israelis are waiting for the orders to push in. tonight it has been much more active along the border. they may be reinforcing those infantry troops and tried to take more territory inside of gaza. also the hospital inside of gaza this was captured by an israeli drone. you can see here it shows how they are using medical facilities to hide their fighters and tunnel entrances. located just next to this very large medical facility. it illustrates how the battlefield is for the israelis. some estimates indicate 400,000 palestinian civilians have not heated those warnings to head south and remaining gaza city. the destruction is growing. buildings have been damaged or destroyed since this war erupted 30 days ago. we do anticipate more is really strikes tonight as a rocket fire from the strip continues. >> trey yingst doing a phenomenal job in southern israel. many thanks. >> tensions rising in the middle east. hezbollah threatens to escalate its involvement in the war. commenting yesterday on u.s. warships entering the region saying the move "will not scare us." steve harrigan is live near the israel lebanon border. >> tensions very high along the border between lebanon and israel. issuing an infiltration alert concerned that hezbollah fighters may be trying to cross the border and make attacks. also firing a barrage of rockets in the north. at least some of those rockets have exploded against some parked cars there. the defense administrator said that they remain on high alert. >> we have no interest in a war with our northern border, but we are prepared for every possible mission. they are preserving its capabilities to defend the north against hezbollah. >> one side of an escalation of the fight here in hezbollah firing to rockets against the israeli positions in the north targeting the military post. they are short range. going about 3 miles. carrying an extremely heavy payload. these attacks come right after the head of hezbollah said all options remain on the table for the fight against israel. mike, back to you. mike: steve harrigan live in northern israel. thank you very much. >> back here to the u.s. the biden administration is under pressure over its handling of the israeli war rallying demonstrators marching here in washington, d.c. yesterday and being there protest outside of the white house. alexandria is live with the very latest. all has been quiet for the president this weekend some 100 miles away from the white house. the pro- palestinian learned one arrest was made. the administration dismissing calls for a cease-fire. senator bernie sanders weighed in on that today. >> i do not know how you can have a cease-fire like hamas which is dedicated to turmoil and chaos. >> secretary of state antony blinken kept fire off. spokesperson max miller said reaffirming the united states commitment to the delivery of lifesaving humanitarian assistance. the resumption of the essential services in gaza making sure palestinians have not been forcibly displaced. they have been advocating for humanitarian pause in gaza. israel feels apposite only benefit. indicating progress has been made. >> mr. president, any progress of a humanitarian cause? >> advocating humanitarian pauses for the aide to be distributed to potentially facilitate the release of more hostages and give some relief and to allow the palestinian residents to take a breath amid this heavy heavy bombardment. >> secretary antony blinken will head to turkey tomorrow. >> live, alex, thanks a lot. griff jenkins and i spoke with the protesters at the pro- palestinian mart yesterday washington, d.c. here is what some of them had to say. >> do you condemn hamas or do you support their efforts? >> do you condemn 75 years of occupation? that is the answer. >> you clearly support the palestinian people. do you support hamas? >> i am a supporter. i do support hamas. they did not start anything new. >> should israel exist? if you're from home —-dash ohio, why are you here today? >> hopefully the country stops aiding, you know, israel. >> this is not a war. war is military against military >> israel is a fascist state. i am anti-fascist. >> this is not a problem of october 7. this is a problem of 75 years of suffering. seventy-five years. we are occupying enslaved. all we need is our freedom. >> the u.s. points to hamas and gaza and say they are terrorists do you agree? >> that is unacceptable. >> so marching here in d.c. to the white house yesterday. four more on the anti-israel protest i am joined by former u.s. ambassador to israel david freedom -- friedman. welcome. >> we are seeing the far left turn up its accusations of the israelis purposefully targeting civilians. are you seeing any evidence of that, sir? >> i'm seeing evidence of just the opposite, mike. last night was a big open event outside of the hospital, the largest hospital in gaza city. it was sponsored by hamas. about 1000 were there. hamas sponsored a screening on a big led screen. the best of their attacks against israelis. this tells us a few things. plenty of electricity in gaza. at least hamas is plenty of electricity. a big screening, lots of lights. it tells us that not all of the civilians in gaza are innocent. at least 1000 people that are really enjoying their evening watching the attack. most importantly it shows israel is not targeting civilians. you could not find a less sympathetic group of civilians anywhere in the gaza strip in these 1000 people cheering the attacks on israel. they had could have killed in one bomb, but they did not. nobody there is targeting civilians. you have just in that one event real proof, real evidence that israel is not targeting civilians. i would doubt that any of them have ever been in this territory the fundamental premise that israel is occupying the gaza strip is completely false. since 2005 when israel lost the gaza strip, there is not been is really soldier a citizen they are. all the beautiful place a beautiful territory and said they chose terrorism. >> the israeli ambassador to the um seems quite arise about the rise of anti-semitism. >> i think the situation right now is shocking. we are on the brink of catastrophe here in the united states. we see thousands of people chanting death to israel, death to the jews. >> what is your feeling, sir? >> i've been saying for years we need to watch anti-semitism. it is not just the neo-nazis. it includes the neo-nazis. rising anti-semitism on the left and in the universities. the biden administration came out a few months ago with a anti-semitism report. anti-semitism, masquerading on college campuses. that is a large part of their building base. that is where the energy is and it is worse. it. >> mr. ambassador, we have to go for breaking news. thank you very much for your time. secretary of state antony blinken now speaking in baghdad. met with a number of leaders in the region. let's listen in. >> our personnel safe and secure in addition, i had a good productive candid meeting with the prime minister. there were really two areas of focus for me in that meeting. the first was to reaffirm our commitment to our partnership with iraq. we have made tremendous progress with iraq and recent years particularly working with the iraqi government on everything from economic reform to energy independence to helping strengthen institutions, building respect for human rights. not only the security aspect of the relationship, all of these different aspects. we call it the hundred 60 degrees and we are committed to it. we had a discussion about that in the progress we made. at the same time, it was very important to send a very clear message to anyone that may seek to take advantage of the conflict in gaza to threaten our personnel here and anywhere else in the region. don't do it. i made very clear that the threats coming from militia that are aligned with iran are totally unacceptable and we will take every necessary step to protect our people. we are not looking for conflict with iran. but we will do what is necessary to protect our personnel be they military or civilian. prime minister making very clear his condemnation of attacks directed at our people, threats of our people and his determination to do what is necessary to make sure that that does not happen. we had a good, as i said, candid conversation. more broadly, we are working very hard to make sure that the conflict in gaza does not escalate, does not spread to other places. whether it is here, elsewhere in the region, this is a very violent and urgent work of american diplomacy. happy to take a few questions. >> yesterday president joe biden when asked whether progress was being made towards getting israel to agree towards humanitarian politics, he gave a thumbs up and said yes. based on your conversations with israel on friday, do you share the president's optimism of why a deal has not been agreed to get? how do you get around the categorical rejection of any kind of a deal like this? many people think it is a modest step. >> first, as we said, following my conversations with the prime minister and israeli government, this is a process. they have raised important questions about how humanitarian policies would work. we've got to answer those questions. we are working on exactly that. agreed that our teams are getting together. they are doing exactly that. working through the specifics, the practicalities of these pauses. second, it is important that the pause advance a number of things one of them as hostages. we are intensely focused, the united states, israel, every other country that has one of its citizens being held hostage by hamas to bring them home. it is important that as we are engaged in pursuing the pause this is something advances the prospect of getting the hostages back. advancing other things we are committed to doing as is the government of israel and other partners of the region. especially getting more humanitarian assistance to people that need it in gaza. i will remind you, when we have conversations three weeks ago about starting humanitarian assistance, it was a process to actually get that moving but we had a commitment to do that. it took some days to get the process in place. since then we have had trucks moving. one hundred trucks a day going and it is good but grossly inefficient. we are working on raising that significantly so more aid gets into palestinians who needed. humanitarian pause can also help advance that and create an environment in which we can do as much as possible for people that so desperately need the assistance. >> nothing short of a total cease-fire, did you make any progress in convincing them that a humanitarian pause would be a reasonable compromise? >> i think everyone welcomed humanitarian pauses. different views including on the question of the cease-fire. but there is no doubt from my conversations with all of our colleagues online yesterday that everyone welcomed because again they can advance all things we are trying to accomplish including getting hostages back, including getting a lot more assistance into gaza, including getting people out of gaza. we have important progress there in recent days but also real complications that come along with a. we continue to work through them it could make a positive difference. >> michael from the washington post. here in iraq, what kind of steps that you talk about, specific steps that they can take as a government to try to reduce the militia attacks? you have said that you have a view for the palestinian authority to have a potential governance role in gaza. i wanted to ask what the view of that. if he is in favor, why do you think that is a great decision given the low view of the palestinian authority. >> with regard to iraq, speaking about making an important statement about one week ago october 23. condemning these attacks and making clear the imperative that they stop. in addition, he is working with his own security forces and others to take necessary action to deal with these attacks and to seek to prevent them. we talked about that. i cannot get into specifics. this is a matter of iraqi sovereignty. no country wants out of militia groups engaged in this. as well as against our interests i think that we have a shared purpose and commitment and trying to make sure that these attacks do not happen. we also have an interest with virtually everyone in the region to make sure that it does not spread to other places here or elsewhere in the region. everyone is looking to take the necessary steps, use their authority, use their influence to try to make sure that this stops, does not happen. they and we are very focused on the day of, even as we need to be thinking about the day after. with regard to the future, palestinian views, palestinian voices, palestinian aspirations need to be at the center of that that is what we focused on. the pa is playing a very important role right now. it is usually important. no one wants another front in the west bank or anywhere else. they are really stepping up under difficult conditions. if you project forward to the future, in defining and shaping that future for gaza, for the west bank and ultimately for a palestinian state, palestinian voices have to be at the center of that. the representative of those voices. it is important to play a leading role. >> secretary of state antony blinken. updates on key issues of the day let's go back to david friedman. ambassador, i wanted to ask you about the humanitarian pauses that are being talked about. getting civilians out of harm's way, getting hostages that would be great, but i think that the israelis are worried about the possibility of humanitarian pauses giving hamas time to get ready for the fight. >> i think people need to understand their humanitarian actions being taken every single day. this war is not constant. fighting is not constant. during those breaks are always looking at opportunities. this is going on without any prodding from america. israel does this on its own. i think that that is different than what america is talking about. they are talking about cease-fire by another name. undergoing circumstances, they are going to reestablish their command of control. they are going to find ways to steal fuel and build more rockets. it is going to prolong the suffering of both sides and essentially with the crime in israel of the mandate that we have given to win the war. >> former ambassador to israel, david friedman, thank you for sticking around during breaking news. great to have you today, sir. >> my pleasure. >> fbi director christopher wray warned congress that the terror attacks on israel could serve as inspiration for "the biggest threat we face here on the homeland". the u.s. southern border continues to be overwhelmed by migrants crossing daily. migrants are flocking to the u.s. from all over the globe. this is a record number of people dropped at the southern border showing up on the terrorist watch list. 169 a fiscal year 2023 alone. joining me now is chad wolf. welcome. >> thank you for having me. >> your reaction to some of the headlines i just rattled off in the introduction to you. >> well, absolutely. we have a couple of things going on. we need to be concerned about those here in the united states and those that are inspired and could be inspired by activities overseas. what they see on college campuses and the like. that is issue number one. issue number two, we know lebanese as below has been in the united states for some time. going back to 2020. going back with little notice. on top of that, obviously, is a situation along the border. whether you have known or suspected terrorists coming from countries of concern like iran, like syria, like lebanon, all of this leads us to a situation where we are here in the homeland and vulnerable. particularly as the southern border continues to be wide open i was just down there for the past several days and it is getting worse by the day. order patrol is very frustrated. they are not on the line trying to apprehend very bad individuals. they are simply in their centers processing more and more migrants. >> here in washington there is a whole lot of blame game going on congress needs to pass more legislation. some in congress want to impeach the secretary for the border crisis. what do you make of that and does the administration have the tools that it needs to address this problem? >> i think this is an important point. it has been on basically a game to blame everyone and everything other than their own policies. as you indicated, it is congress it is on congress to solve this problem. they did not create this border crisis. this administration has the authorities and it has the ability to change the nature and tenure of what is going on. it takes leadership. >> chad wolf, sorry our time is a little tight today with our breaking news. thank you for your expertise today. thank you, sir. >> former president trump leading president biden in five critical states and brought endorsement. that i the s next. my own, and trade on thinkorswim. you know carl is the only front man you need.
