they desire to treat addiction as a medical issue instead of a criminal problem. tomorrow morning, the santa clara battle against mosquitoes begins with county workers in helicopters spraying an eco-friendly pesticide on the marshes in san jose and palo alto. mosquitoes and other insects spread rabies and other diseases, causing possible health risks to the public. people were forced out a four apartments in livermore after a huge tree crashed through the roof with wind gusting onto the building that force the tree to fall on sunday. take a look. one tenant was sleeping and woke up with on mornings on two and police and oakland are trying to find the owner of construction tools stolen last week during an arrest. officers found the equipment inside a stolen car. they found the suspect unconscious in the driver's seat with a gun at 89th and bancroft and when he woke up, police said he rammed into a blockade of patrol cars and got away. police followed him for about two miles and stopped him. >> the car was disabled and the wheel fell off. that led to the termination point at 73 and san leandro. >> police would like to return the stolen items to their owner. it's 4:46 and we are looking at her while police chase that ended in contra costa county. a chp helicopter took a video saturday night and police followed the suspect from vallejo to richmond on interstate 80 and then back to highway 4 and then highway 242 south and concord. sparks were flying from the car of the suspect that ran over the spike strips. the police used a pit maneuver to stop the car before arresting the driver. take a look at this video. it was posted to read it, showing a person riding on the back of a muni train in san francisco. it was believed to be the ocean line by sf state. luckily, no reports of injuries. we did reach out to muni about the video and got a response. in a statement, this behavior is prohibited and we are exploring options to raise awareness to curb incidents like what was depicted in this video. it's now 4:47 and kobe bryant's widow, vanessa bryant, said she and her family, obviously, still struggling with the death of kobe bryant and the death of their daughter, gianna. vanessa was on instagram and wrote, my brain refuses to accept that kobe and gigi are gone. i can't process both at the same time. kobe bryant, his daughter and seven others were killed last month in that helicopter crash in southern california. a public memorial for kobe bryant and his daughter will be held later this month and it is set for february 24th at the staples center in los angeles. you can get information when they release it, but it's not available, yet. hundreds turned out for a memorial for family members who died in that helicopter crash. friends and family gathered yesterday at the l.a. angels stadium in anaheim to remember john altobelli, his wife, keri altobelli and their daughter, alyssa. he was a longtime baseball coach in costa mesa and his daughter was a teammate of gianna brian's on the mamba sports academy team. >> if i had known that was the last time i would see her, i would have smiled more and lived in the moment. >> the family leaves behind a 29-year-old son and a 16-year- old daughter. it's 4:48 and there is an incredible south bay teenager defying the odds and doing things never thought possible. this teenager has had 16-year- old who lives in the almaden valley loves music, video games and the 49ers. what makes shoham das unique, he has a rare congenital heart defect. >> i have low endurance. it can mean i need more sleep and i get tired easily. >> reporter: shoham das had open heart surgery at the age of only three days old. again, at six months old and finally, when he was 4 years old. he's cautioned to be careful with his body. >> i can't run or play tennis or other sports. >> reporter: at 7 years old, he got inspiration from a tv show that would change his life and help him find something he can do. >> i was a big fan of power rangers. >> reporter: 's mother suggested he start martial arts. he was welcomed after one half dozen academies had rejected him because of his medical history. >> we took a leap forward. >> reporter: at 11, he earned his first black belt. something more important happened after that. >> what happened was all the exercise helped my heart grow stronger and because of that, i have a better life and can do more things without getting tired. >> reporter: the boy who had three open heart surgeries now is a teenager with a third degree black belt in tae kwon do. >> i've never seen anybody with his condition to keep coming, regardless, and to live a full life life. it's amazing. it taught me and the entire association. >> reporter: went shoham das started, he could only do this for about five minutes. now, he can last 45 minutes. he has newfound confidence. >> there have been times when i thought i couldn't really change this. the best i can do is make the best out of it. i live a healthy lifestyle. >> reporter: shoham das sees his cardiologist at stanford every three months and his mother talks to parents of other patients to give them hope and share welcome back to mornings on two. it's now 4:57 and an alameda county sheriff's deputy is suing the toronto raptors team for damages at the nba finals at oakland arena pair the lawsuit alleges that masai ujiri hit deputy alan strickland as he tried to get to the court to celebrate the raptors nba championship. strickland said the incident caused him mental, emotional and physical pain and suffering. his lawsuit seeks a minimum $75,000. last october, the alameda county da's office decided not to file criminal charges against masai ujiri. a baseball pitcher directly affected by the baseball cheating scandal is now suing the houston astros. mike both singer last pitched against the astros in 2017 and was playing for the blue jays in toronto and has lawsuit claims 12 of the 29 pitches he threw were preceded by bangs on a trashcan. reportedly a signal to alert hitters about certain pictures. he was sent back down to the minors and hasn't played in the major leagues since. he
