ending to a tragic story of senseless violence in new york. lauren pleading guilty to manslaughter, admitting she shoved beloved voice coach barbara in a fit of random rage on a new york city street in march of 2022. she fell, hitting her head, dying days later of a fatal brain injury. new yorkers were shocked at the insanity of the story. she was apparently angry after being asked to leave a manhattan park where she was having wine with her fiance. she apparently grew furious, through dinner at her fiance, leaving, only to encounter a few minutes later. manhattan district attorney alvin bragg today releasing a statement, saying that the 28-year-old aggressively shoved barbara to the ground, and walked away as the beloved new yorker laid there bleeding. here she is walking the street that day. she reached a deal in which she will spend eight years in prison. and the story of a life lost for no good reason.
