we have a picture of those candidates who have not met the requirements at this point and i think, most of us can agree though, a standout here is the former vice-president mike pence, but caroline, i want your thoughts on that, but also, just checking one more time, if your boss is maybe thinking, rethinking not showing up and maybe he'll be there in august? >> i'll let president trump speak for himself. what i'll say is that part of the democratic process does not include doing debates that includes earning the support and trust of the voters who decide our elections and no one is doing that like president trump. he's hosting town halls in iowa, in new hampshire. he had 50,000 patriots show up for him in south carolina in the heat on independence day weekend and poll after poll shows that patriots are excited to vote for him and frankly, it's probably best for the other candidates on that stage that he doesn't show up to the debate. we know what happened in 2016,
