Colleagues not a single republican member of this committee has said russia didn t meddle in the 2016 election. we published a report focused on russian active measures in 2016. we have policy recommendations how we strengthen cyber resiliency, election security to counter russia. i myself have worked with members of this very committee on this issue, but also on the house armed services committee. so to have our democratic colleagues say untruthful statements just reeks of political desperation in their continued obsession to manipulate mainstream media coverage. good news is the american people understand this has been a partisan process from the start. the democratic coordination with the whistle-blower, the incessant leaks, unprecedented closed door process, closed to majority of members, closed to the press, closed to the people. starting this inquiry without taking a vote. and when finally forced to take a vote, the vote was with bipartisan opposition.
