and i want to tell you, the words of very little didn t use. sean: that s a president addressing new mexico. let not your heart be troubled, the coverage continues with the laura ingraham. laura: i am a laura ingraham and this is sean the ingraham angle from washington. in moments, my ankle will expose the real reason that democrats are reviving their smear campaign against brett kavanaugh and what it tells us about their agenda. a panel of the best legal experts bar none including those closest to the supreme court justice will respond. plus mike huckabee i doubt mike huckabee and victor davis hanson is here as well. but for now back to president trump at his live press conference in rio rancho, new mexico. [cheers and applause]
[chanting: usa! president trump: so anyway, no president should ever be put in that position. by the way, no president should ever have to go through what i ve gone through either. that should never happen. what happened is a disgrace to our country. no president should ever have to go through it. and i will tell you what. 99% of them would never have been able to take it. they wouldn t have been able to take it. so we won the great state of michigan and now we are doing really well because we moved a lot of car companies. i told japan, sorry. big deficits without these companies, we are changing it. we are building car companies now in michigan, and they are not going to be leaving for lots
of other countries including china. they will stay home and pay you a lot of money and everybody will be happy. but michigan is doing great. and ronna mcdaniel is the republican party chair of michigan. so when we won the election, she has done an incredible job. thank you. a great gentleman who loves the republican party. tommy hicks, what a job. new mexico party chairman steve pierce.
my friend, and a really talented guy, he just gets things knocked out of him all the time, brad parscale. great job. my great friend, somebody was on cnn and they didn t like him because he was too positive about trump. he happens to be hispanic, but i ve never quite figured it out. he looks more like a wasp than i do. i will tell you what, there is nobody that loves his country more or hispanic more than steve cortez. steve. thank you, steve. nobody loves the hispanics more. what do you like more, the
country or the hispanics? we love our hispanics, get out and vote. and we have a tremendous percentage of the vote. they gave me the bay of pigs award. they are all for trump, i will tell you that, they are all for trump. with the help of and steve i want to thank you very much by the way, you were incredible on cnn and now you will get a real job, okay? steve, that audience wasn t big enough for you. the ratings aren t good. with the help of everyone here tonight, we are taking power out of washington and giving it ba
back, and to the people of new mexico. we ve got a record number of job killing regulations, saving the average american household $3,000. we passed the largest package of tax cuts and reforms in american history. they ve seen the tax bill reduced by more than $2,000. it s one of the reasons you look at asia and china is not doing too well. let s be honest with you. we are here in 57 years, we have
taken in tens of billions of dollars worth of tariffs. we have given those tariffs and by the way, the prices are very similar. they are out of the tens of billions, they were targeted by china. china is very smart, the farmers love trump and trump loves the farmers, i said [cheers and applause] i said to our secretary of agriculture, sonny perdue. i said how much did china get hit by the targeting and pulling back? he said $16 billion. i said that s okay. i will take $16 billion out of a
much larger number and give it to the farmers so that they are even. and i tell you, the farmers do love trump. they do love trump. and to keep new mexico s farms, ranches and small businesses in the family, they eliminated the unfair estate tax or death tax so that they can now give your farm or your ranch to your children. now if you don t like your children, don t do it. but when it s your time to kick the bucket, you worked hard, you have great kids. you love your kids. they are taking care of you. you really love them and it s a great thing. if you don t love them, don t listen to the last line because it doesn t matter. if they aren t good, don t leave it to charity.
that s a horrible human being. a little older now but they are horrible human beings. but on the assumption that you love your children, you will be able to do small farms and ranches you will be able to leave them to your children. your children will have to go and borrow a fortune to pay tax. they won t be losing it to the banks five years later. we got rid of it, that s a big deal. there is a pro-worker, pro-jobs, and 100% pro-american. for many decades our leaders put global trust ahead of your
interest people came in and took your jobs, they had no border patrol. honestly, we have today 27,000 mexican soldiers on the border protecting our country. because our laws are so bad and so pathetic, and democrats could change the laws. they could change them so quickly, we could change them all in less than an hour. whether it s so many of the laws, we have so many of them that are so bad, it took years and years for her to end up. you see them and they are stopping people come up the numbers are plummeting down. so i just want to thank all of the representatives of mexico.
we have to get rid of the loopholes. the democrats can do it fast but in the meantime, we do it really well. as a wall goes up it it becomes less and less of a problem because as a wall goes up people aren t getting through. you have to be a world-class pole vaulter, or a world class mount everest-type climber. to like that. really doing the trick. a failed liberal establishment in washington squandered our tax dollars, shipped away your jobs, sacrificed her sovereignty. analog dust down one foreign war or a debacle or whatever you want after another. and that s changing also. and when these rich countries think that we are going to pay for their military every year,
billions and billions and billions, and they are rich and take our business, i could tell you stories but i m going to save them for the campaign. but to be honest, this is a little earlier than the campai campaign. later this campaign starts i m telling them, i don t want to do this too early. it was before its time. too early. [cheers and applause] 1,024. that means i have more indian blood than she does, and i have none unfortunately. i d like to say i have a lot.
give me another 4%, maybe 10%. but i was those days are ov over. this administration, we are finally putting america first. we are reversing decades of calamitous trade policies that ravished our industries and devastated communities all
across our land. empty buildings, empty hubs. some have been demolished and some have been reconverted into senior citizen housing. all of those are coming back. almost like never before. i could say they are coming back like never before. people are coming back now because they want to be where the action is and this is the country where they have the security and where they do have the action. in my first week in office i proudly withdrew from the last administration s job destroying catastrophe. you know the trans-pacific partnership? tpp. this would have destroyed the automobile business in our country. you know that you were totally devastated by another disaster
known as nafta. the state lost 33% of its manufacturing job, and usmca. think of the song, ymca. think of the song. that s u.s., mexico canada agreement and its strong bipartisan support from all across your estate and all across the country. it s amazing. i want to just the county board of commissioners, unanimously endorsed.
thank you very much, commissioner. all democrats. hopefully they will put it up for a vote. the republicans love it and the democrats love it and frankly, labor loves it, you unions love it and everybody wants it. your farmers and ranchers. mexico is already past it. they say, we will pass it as soon as we do. past leaders invited china. to freely loot and pillage the united states economy. china has been taking out from 300 billion to $500 billion per
year. billion, not million, billion. somebody had to do something with china. president clinton should have done it, they all should have done it. frankly they all should have done a lot of things that we are doing right now. [cheers and applause] so if you look at it, nobody did it, so i m doing it and that s what s going to happen. [cheers and applause] so now we are taking and billions and billions of dollars from china in the past. they have unemployment and
losses. and some cheap pencils, more than we needed. we could do with one less pencil. following decades of outsourcing and off shoring, our jobs in factories are coming back home where they belong. if foreign companies do not want to pay our tariffs, there is one very simple solution. come and make your product in america, and make your product in new mexico. [cheers and applause] and by the way, i m just seeing this great group of people, the spirit. is there any place in the world that s more fun or more exciting then i trump rally?
[cheers and applause] when you think about it, it s not about fun, it s about achievement. it s what we have achieved in the last three years has been unparalleled. and in the last two and a half years we have done what we have been able to do or achieve. in a few short weeks, we will be up to 180. it sounds impossible. federal judges including court of appeals judges president obama did us a great favor when we came in. no, sir, you have 138 judges.
1:30 eight? and now we are up to 180. that s signed by 150th federal judge and our court of appeals judge. and we already had two great supreme court justices. judge for such and judge kavanaugh. great men. the most important thing a president does, and i disagree with this by the way. i disagree with a lot of things, because i think the most important thing is a military and protecting our country. [cheers and applause]
if you listen to the so-called vessel tell you what, why they elite? they do better than we do, we have better houses and better everything. and then they say, the elite. the super elite. i have always taken offense when somebody said, president trump is tired of listening to the elite. and i still know, i m more elite than them. [cheers and applause] if we go by the old standards, better houses and better schools, made a much more money, lived a better and made more money and then i decide, to run for president.
and i will be honest, what we have to put up with from these people and others, is the single most best decision i ve ever made of. could not be happier. i could not be happier. after years of building up other countries, we are finally building up our country. isn t that nice? [cheers and applause] it s time to finally take care of our own. and we are also aggressively combating the opioid epidemic, which is horrible. as a result of our nonstop, we
saw the first nationwide decline in drug overdose deaths and it was a very big decline in three decades, 30 years. and at the center of america s drug crisis, this is where hispanics know it better than everybody. they won t like border security, i think they will love it. you know why? because you understand it better than other people. but at the whole center of this crisis is the drugs that are pouring in the border crisis, every day criminal cartels
smuggle vast quantities of illegal narcotics across the southern border including hero heroin, meth, cocaine and fentanyl. and we are stopping them now. they are getting millions and millions and millions of dollars worth. we ve had some shipments that could kill half of the country. and that could actually have power to kill half the country. if you want to stop the drug smugglers, and the human traffickers. and they traffic really for the most part in women. that s what they trafficking, it s women.
they bring them across the open borders and they don t go through the ports of entry. they go out into the desert areas and they hang a left or they hang a right. so many of these democrats and it s common sense. where the democrats are having their national convention, they gave out a tremendous contract. a massive wall. a few years ago almost every one
of theirs, they said we must have a wall. we must have president obama. he must have a wall, we must stop people from coming into our country. illegally we have to stop and need the wall. now if you years later, anything they want, they want to do the opposite. but if you want to stop the drug smugglers and human traffickers, and vicious ms three gang members which were taken out every year by the thousands and getting them out of our country, because of katie pavlich. [cheers and applause] and if you want to stop all these people from threatening
our communities and poisoning our look youth, it s poisoning our youth. that s what it is, they are poisoning our use. and how about these phony democrats. we started with russia, russia, russia. that turned out to be a fraud. then, they went to race. can you believe that? i m the least racist person in this room.
then, they went to recession. there s going to be a recession. oh please, let there be a recession, please. because we have a better chance of defeating him if there s a recession. i think it s well over 100 times, we broke the all-time record. it will cost me billions and billions of dollars. but if somebody from the middle east that i never saw before comes in and stays at one of my hotels for an evening and pays $439, and emoluments. nobody has ever heard that word before.
emoluments, he s enriching himself. if somebody buys a tank of gas in scotland from an airport, and they happen to go to a hotel, he s enriching himself. i expect it to do that. we would have had the same basic rhetoric. supposedly i m lost and lost billions. i would have expected when i did this in terms of opportunity, so i will lose it billions of dollars always expected. i always enrich myself because i
say, someone will stay at my hotel. but it doesn t always work that way. these are very dishonest people. you know it, you get it. that places vast burdens on your community is, your schools, hospitals and public safety. sheriffs and commissioners from nine mexico counties recently sent a letter to your state s delegation baking them to vote for strong border security. and, they won t even do that.
they need strong border securi security. and they wanted a wall in san diego. good mayor in san diego by the way. but they wanted a wall. california, once we build it, they will complain. they didn t like people running all over their gardens. so we put up a wall and i thought everybody would be happy. as soon as it was finished, the day it was finished, i was notified. we didn t want the wall, why did you do the wall? i d love to take that sucker
down and move it right now to new mexico. [cheers and applause] and if i did that, they would go crazy and they would say, please, sir. don t do that. we don t want a wall. why did you put up a wall? and i knew that was going to happen, i told my people that was going to happen. but they are very happy with their wall. most of them won t say it, but they are very happy. it only stopped 99.9% of the people coming in. [cheers and applause] the only reason i m not moving it to new mexico is that it would cost more money to move it than it would to move a brand-new beautiful wall.
it would cost more money to build a wall. they have it. so the commission, your commissioners wrote, and i quote, our communities do not have the resources nor the budgets to handle the massive influx of immigrants we are experiencing. this is your commissioners writing to us in washington. our scarce resources are in danger, of being rapidly depleted to the point that we have been unable to care for our own citizens many of whom are american veterans. so democrats put illegal aliens before american citizens that
includes millions of hardworking, lawful immigrants, who waited in line, followed the rules and came into our country legally. and among those hardest hit by illegal immigration are hispanic-americans who obey our laws, pay their taxes, contribute to our communities and play by our rules. they are the ones who want to see something done and we are doing it. that s a level that nobody else will be capable of doing. and every american citizen, and
was always loyal to you. the democrats are also trying to turn every city in america into a sanctuary for criminal aliens. that s one of the very good reasons we won on tuesday night in north carolina because they let people out of their sanctuary city, and with those people date i will not tell you tonight but it wasn t good. it s one of the reasons we had big victories, two of them, in north carolina. sanctuary city s. plenty of people even in california where they have sanctuary city s, they don t want sanctuary cities. the politicians do but they don t want them. right here in new mexico, democrats are trying to turn you
into a total sanctuary state. creating s safe harbor for days, criminal aliens and gang members that sanctuary policies released from jail. but our katie pavlich folks are even tougher. you are i would say naive, but maybe it s much worse. they are naive politicians and they don t want ice to come in and they don t want to take these criminals out, and i hate
to tell you this folks but you ve got problems. you got big problems. republicans believe our citizens should be cities should be sanctuaries for people, but not our criminal aliens. republicans will always support the heroes of katie pavlich, border patrol and our great law enforcement. and, before i came, they all the democratic party is much nicer than the democratic party but the name as the democrat party. and i m not looking for them to sound nice. they always say the democrat
party but that s their name. the democrat party. frankly they should probably change it. but the democrat party has never been further outside the mainstream. every major that s a messy fight. i don t like those suckers. i don t know about you in new mexico but i m not into flies or mosquitoes. i don t like snakes too much, we have plenty of them in new york and washington, a different variety. we have a lot of snakes in washington, d.c., we have a lot of snakes in new york and i don t like either kind of snake. i think i like the kind on the ground up better than the kind we have in washington. every major democrat running for president supports a massive government takeover of health care that would destroy
medicare as we know it today. my administration will protect medicare and defend the right to choose the plan and the doctor that is best for you. and that we will always protect patients with pre-existing conditions. the republicans will always do that. our ambitious campaign to reduce the price of prescription drugs has produced the largest decline in drug prices in more than 50 years. you don t hear this because a fake news doesn t want to write about it. sometimes they have a news conference, and i say you know, i will call my wife, first lady.
we did a lot of things. we did something so great, and it won t be honored. but if it s something slightly negative, take something good and turn it negative. we have breaking news. you know, when you think of it, i m president, and they are not. [cheers and applause] you know sometimes i will be in the oval office, and there is a in the oval office. we have a great calm considering it s pretty wild stuff going on in the world.
you know, they don t treat us right. it s pretty amazing. laura: a president trump is still speaking at the rally new mexico. it s a state that the trump campaign thinks they can flip in 2020. only one presidential candidate has won it since 1992 and doing so actually hinges on winning over hispanic voters. but the trump campaign thinks they actually have a strong economic argument to seal the deal. we are going to keep our eye on any news coming out of the rally that i wanted to discuss this latest kavanaugh affair. the president addressed it just a short time ago at the rally. president trump: they tried to blacklist, coerce, or destroy anyone who gets in their way. look at what they are doing
today to justice kavanaugh. look at what they are doing. did you see the new york times ? the times is dead. long live the new york times. long live the new york times. and i do want it to lives but they have to change their ways. laura: here to react, former associate counsel to george w. bush, john u. and a former deputy independent counsel and fox news contribut contributor. i feel like this is deja vu, having you back on this set a year ago, we were dealing with this blase for testimony. and what s this really all about? this is about culture in a
campaign of intimidation, trying to get justice kavanaugh to change his opinion. they can t accept the fact that they lost fair and square in the confirmation process and elect the president said, they will do anything. it s not just about a failure of fact-checking at new york times, the reporters who wrote this piece are the same reporters who wrote the book where they spent a year researching these allegations. they aren t even new allegations. they knew about the supposedly new allegations and now today they are standing up and saying it s a basis for impeachment which is frankly beyond hypocritical. laura: if there was moment today on cnn involving paul begala and there was a back-and-forth panel about the dynamic with uncorroborated allegations. listen to how the conversation turned. if the alleged victim had no
knowledge, why are we talking about it today? the victim of the alleged incident has told friends she doesn t remember. there will be an ending pressure, not today or tomorrow, on ending pressure the democra democrats. there is a cloud over brett kavanaugh that he says will be there forever. john? this is the real agenda going on behind us. this is about people who want to deny the results of the 2016 election. president trump said he would appoint conservative justices like brett kavanaugh, and this is much worse. it s a misuse of the impeachment power to try to attack the idea of an independent judiciary.
and this will browbeat specific justices and this is something that we in our country have rejected as a the jefferson administration. that s something that would end the rules. i keep saying it s shocking but given what we were all discussing a year ago, i shouldn t be shocking at all. we have that spectacle on capitol hill that was really about showboating for a lot of the senators on the committee. globawe had kamala harris, every is up there auditioning for 2,020. it s clear i think building on what they said it, joe scarborough believe it or not summed it up today. donald trump is reelected president, then donald trump and mitch mcconnell can determine
the shape of the supreme court on the federal judiciary for the next half-century. it s that simple. > laura: sharpton went on to say, we can t let that happen. is that what it s really about? most importantly it s about roe vs. wade. and that was very special. and that is why they will never relent, it s very important for them to continually smear his name. and it s a very dangerous moment that we have reached it s a
rubicon of sorts that has crossed the disruptions that occurred at continually during the hearing. the people jumping up and shouting, the bereaved father who is against senator feinstein who approached him it s basically the use of anti-for politics i think it s a very dangerous thing that they are playing with. laura: i didn t have time to get to the angle, but i wanted to do a little flashback. because blase ford s lawyer recently did admit the real motivation behind the kavanaugh attacks a year later. he will always have an asterisk next to his name. when he takes the scalpel for
roe v. wade, you know who he is and you know what motivates him and that s important. it s important that we know, and that was part of what motivated christine. laura: what do you think they will do to the next nominee? some conservatives are concerned about. we are all very honest if some conservatives are concerned that kavanaugh is not a strict originalist. justice thomas or justice scalia mode. he s more moderate than some of the other people that could have been selected. or any of these other potentials. i think it will be very interesting to see if they try to do this to a woman. because they try to set this up as the suppose it protector of women s rights. i d like to see them try it.
but we all stand firm and we all continue to speak the truth about the error of these ways. these two reporters spent a year. this is important. they spent a year trying to find out more information about blase for the period in that book they did not say they d come up with anything new with respect to h her. and he now says in the book, i m not confident at all about any of their stories. did the press cover that? no. what they covered was supposedly new allegations and reporters themselves left out the story that that in fact was corroborated. so leland keiser, the best friend or close friend of blase ford who had medical issues wasn t able to testify at the actual hearing. she comes out in this book and
says, and her own father the friend, there is no victim now. the corroboration 30 years later, that s the standard now? but here, if the people in the senate, the democrats have a beef with anybody, they should have a beef with the fbi because the fbi was inundated with all of these uncorroborated rumors and tips and so on and they try to run down the ones that seem credible. clearly the fbi did not think these were credible because as they said there was no corroborating evidence, no witnesses that said the same thing. so they refused to carry out further investigation. instead these reporters are trying to make a big storm out of things that the fbi thought
had no credibility. laura: there is another thing floating around and they are so desperate to hold onto anything. this is from a vox article today and the article cites an old theory that was written about by a former justice thomas clerk about a way to get judges sort of impeachment. it was a provision on the constitution stating that federal judges and justices shall hold their offices during good behavior. that s a legal term of art which would be understood by the founding generation which would allow it to be removed by the judicial process. so what s wrong with this legal rationale? this is not a legitimate
constitutional scholar and i m sure that will change. it s 200 years of our history opposed to that. but you have to understand, this is a culture war. they will be unrelenting. i will show anyone high or low, this particular new allegation, as you know, but first of all the woman herself would not speak to them and has told her friends she has no memory of it. this clinton team lawyer would not even speak on the record. so it s completely frivolous and preposterous. but, we expect them to keep going on. you all pointed out how
dangerous this is, it s a politicized hyperpartisan and he felt like attack. you guys were so nice to stay with us during this rally. i m sure we will have you back. now we will check back in with president trump from new mexico. today is very sad. no food, no water, no nothing. socialism. we begin this campaign with the best record, the best results, the best agenda and the only positive vision for america, and it s not just a little bit positive, our country is going to be greater than it ever was. that is where we are headed. [cheers and applause] together we will help millions more citizens know the dignity of work, the pride of a paycheck and the satisfaction of a job
really well done. with your help, we will elect a republican congress to create a safe, modern, fair and very lawful system of immigration. we will have a lot done anyway, we already do have a lot done, you saw the figures last week. doing it the hard way, it will be so much easier with a little stroke of the pen. we will enact trade deals that would ensure more products are proudly stamped with those beautiful, beautiful words with that incredible phrase. made in the usa. we will achieve new breakthroughs in science, and
they have already started that program and it will happen. we have the medicine. we ve already started the process. who would have thought that? honestly, when i ran, i did not know that. laura: we will continue to monitor the president s speech but i have to continue this conversation. we are getting hit on twitter about what s happening with kavanaugh and what their plans are. mike huckabee, victor davis hanson from the hoover institution. what does the media s excusing of the new york times say about the direction that supposedly objective journalism is going? it just says that journalism
is dead. there isn t a practice of journalism for the most part, and they ve put every legitimate news organization on the hook. but instead of trying to push back against the times, they are just going ahead and covering for them and it s just disastrous. think it will help donald trump in his reelection in a substantial way. laura: what they do as they throw out the most outrageous allegations and let them hang out there. then, that still informs the entire days, weeks, news events and people still jump off and say, as an asterisk next to his name. this is meant to intimidate and they are trying to get it they are trying to get him on the bench and try to attack others coming down the pike. i think it s a revolutionary movement and its anti-constitutional. they are saying to america you
can elect your president that they can t govern if we investigate for 22 months. you can have hearings and you can confirm him but we will say so many terrible things and demonize him that for all practical purposes we will render him emasculated. we will say we can t we don t have the votes or the power to overturn the second amendment but maybe we will say you can t buy ammunition. you can put so much pressure, you may have a constitutional right for free expression but don t try to exercise it. so we don t have the influence to overturn the constitution but we can pressure people. and you can that will infringe on your ability to speak freely
they cannot do it legislatively. the three villains defining the branches of government. each of these men they will argue republican corruption, rule bending and governors will get all the help they need from the suppose that mainstream media and hollywood, et cetera, et cetera. the juxtaposition that we will see next year is pretty clear. donald trump will talk about what america can be with great leadership. that s two he s the man that is taking america to a place we want to be. the democrats, all they want to do is talk about an america that
they want to leave behind. i think it s an incredible contrast. they americans will pick the vision every time. laura: victor davis hanson, john heilman who used to be touted as a flaunted reporter, his circus thing, and now he s tweeting out. the story contains reporting that cavanaugh wow and kavanaugh be made to address it doesn t matter if it s not corroborated, they will run with it. because frankly, it s one of the few arguments they think they had to keep women in the fold despite all of their economic gains. i think what they are saying is that these reputations were built over a century, the washington post, new york times and for a
half-century cnn, they inherited that. so for a little longer they are saying the people who are dead, we will use all that hard work and integrity and we will use it to give us a cachet or a premature of i think they can run that out but eventually they destroy the very institution they inherited. they are destroying the reputations. only because of the work of dead people that they have listened to. not anything they had done in their own lifeline. laura: the smash and smear that we saw for two years run by the comey cabal, this is just a continuation of that. smash and smear the president on uncorroborated allegations using leaks in the power of the state.

Are established, in my experience, and i ve been doing ethics for 40 years, i started doing it in the 1980s when i was a state judge in california. this is an unprecedented situation. never personally seen a situation where a judge or a justice cannot receive this kind of riches from everyone. whether it s happened, before i obviously don t, know i have not studied every judge and justice whoever served. but it certainly in my experience is never happened before. yes as i was, saying 30 destinations, 26 private jet flights, eight more by helicopter, a dozen vip passes to professional college sports games. i wish we had friends like these. but not if you are on the supreme court. i want to say one thing though, and i really appreciate you for giving me the time tonight. i think if we spend all of our time looking at justice thomas or justice alito or any other justice, and we make it about them, we are missing the larger

Time looking at justice thomas or justice alito or any other justice, and we make it about them, we are missing the larger point. which is, you know, the supreme court is a really important institution in our country, it has so much influence on our lives. we are a divided country. the courts decisions are extremely important and consequential. they need to be legitimate. yes, absolutely. the lack of a code of conduct is real proud of problem. that s a really important, point i m glad you made, former federal judge, thank you very much, we re very we ll be right back. back -it s a nail fungus infection. -.that s gross! -it s nothing, really. -it s contagious. you can even spread it to other people. -mom, come here! -don t worry about it. it ll go away on its own! -no, it won t go away on its own. it s an infection. you need a prescription. nail fungus is a contagious infection. at the first signs, show it to your doctor. . and ask if jublia is right for you. jublia is a prescription medicine

Happened in the past, i obviously don t know. i haven t studied every justice who ever served. but certainly in my experience, it s never happened before. as i was saying, 38 destinations, 26 private jet flights, it more by helicopter, it doesn t vip tickets to professional college sports games, i wish we had friends like this, but not if you are in the supreme court what to say one thing, though, and i really appreciate you are giving me the time tonight. i think if we spend all of our time looking at justice thomas or justice alito or any other justice and we make it about them, they are missing a larger point, the supreme court is a really important institution in our country. it has so much influence in our lives and our country. and decisions are extremely important and consequential. they need to be legitimate absolutely. and the lack of a code of conduct is a big problem. very important point that i m glad you made. former federal judge jeremy fogel, sir, thank you very much. we ll be right back.

Roe v. wade, you know who he is and you know what motivates him and that s important. it s important that we know, and that was part of what motivated christine. laura: what do you think they will do to the next nominee? some conservatives are concerned about. we are all very honest if some conservatives are concerned that kavanaugh is not a strict originalist. justice thomas or justice scalia mode. he s more moderate than some of the other people that could have been selected. or any of these other potentials. i think it will be very interesting to see if they try to do this to a woman. because they try to set this up as the suppose it protector of women s rights. i d like to see them try it.
