in the hearing on capitol hill today the senate commerce committee looked at some of the government functions that have stopped as a result of the ongoing government shutdown. among the witnesses was one of the stars of the popular reality show deadliest catch who spoke on the issue of commercial fishing permits and how it s an issue to fisheries in alaska. i was one of the government functions addressed at this hearing. it s about two and a half hours.
