I first tried this dish long ago at a spot in Virginia, just a stone’s throw away from the Tennessee state line, and I was forever hooked–biscuits and gravy–a southern staple featuring the ever so scrumptious sausage gravy!
It is usually served as a breakfast dish but the gravy can also be poured over fries, mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
