Eight people were killed during a string of shootings at massage parlors in the Atlanta area on Tuesday night, reports the New York Times. The police apprehended the gunman while he was allegedly driving to Florida after the shooting on Tuesday night to carry out similar attacks. Six of the eight victims were Asian, although the gunman claimed it was not a racially motivated attack. At this time, police caution it is too early in the investigation to rule out racial bias as a motivation. When speaking about whether the shooting spree would be considered a hate crime, Acting Chief of the Atlanta Police Department Rodney Bryant said, “We are still early in this investigation, so we cannot make that determination at this moment.” ....

The Three Percenters movement has gained representation in the Wyoming Legislature at least symbolically.
A photograph resurfaced this week of freshman Rep. Marshall Burt (L-Green River) that shows a tattoo on his left forearm the Roman numeral “III” surrounded by 13 stars, above the year 1776. The symbol is commonly associated with a far-right, anti-government movement and the popularization of militia groups. 
In a written statement this week, Burt said he is not involved in any militia groups, and got the tattoo because he enjoyed the symbolism of what it stood for.

The FBI launched a massive manhunt for these white supremacists. There have been 275 arrests, and severaloutletshavewritten about who the rioters were, but no one has looked into them more carefully than staff at the Program on Extremism at George Washington University (GWU). Last week, it issued a report called “This is Our House!” which looks into 257 people who have been arrested and indicted.
The report sorts the 257 defendants into three groups: “militant networks,” “organized clusters,” or “inspired believers.”
