do you agree? >> he would probably have a better sense that me. but my read is that putin is in control of the military. he's arguably weaker of course but he remains in control. we saw none of the major and generals or leaders of the russian military move against him on that saturday when prigozhin began his march. i thought the two important things about prigozhin's march toward moscow that saturday were that nobody joined prigozhin, which i think he underestimated the support that he had and also that no russian generals, units, came out to defend putin so i think that was an important part of the data that played out. >> we did see the russian defense minute ser minister
shoigu. do you think other top military leaders could face repercussions from the kremlin? >> absolutely. i suspect so. i figure there were more than just one or two people from the russian military involved or whispering to prigozhin and telling him he was saying and doing the right things. they failed to materialize. but i suspect there are more out there. the fsb is conducting their investigation and at some point in time, there will be announcements about people being retired or reassigned. that's inevitable. >> in terms of the progress ukraine is making in this counter offensive, we are still seeing deadly strikes from the russians on ukraine civilians but ukraine is saying it has liberated about 14 square miles over the past week. how are you measuring the success of this counteroffensive so far? >> look, we all want to put the
