republicans alike that you're talking to, what do you think? >> i think, jonathan, it means a lot. what we saw at the trial is the needle didn't move. a lot of us were looking at what an actual conviction would look like. here it is laid out. people disagree or feel that they're probably less likely to vote, it looks like, for a convicted criminal. i think this will spawn the democrats and the biden campaign to hone in on the theory that this is a convicted criminal, and do you want a convicted criminal in the white house. >> so let's talk about how the biden team is responding. we played a little bit there on friday. as i had reported the week before, the president's first remarks were always going to be about, look, we have to respect the verdict, respect the process, no matter what it may be.
