RP Singh-led agency will run indoor stadium in city | Noida News

Noida: The Noida Authority has selected two agencies for running the indoor stadium and shooting range at its integrated sports complex in Sector 21A. While a consortium led by former cricketer Rudra Pratap Singh will operate the indoor stadium, a Faridabad-based sports academy will run the shooting range.
The authority had been struggling to find professional agencies to run these sports facilities after having initiated the bidding process in October last year. The bid documents of the two facilities had to be revised three times to make the terms and conditions viable for interested agencies.
While the indoor stadium was commissioned with a budget of Rs 101 crore, the authority spent Rs 14 crore to establish the shooting range. Both facilities were ready in November last year but have been lying unused since then.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAFF) - As Alabama’s Safer Apart order is now in effect and CDC guidelines continue to change, Alabama senior citizen centers can soon reopen for indoor activities!
Senior centers are allowed to reopen beginning Monday, April 19, 2021. This is a big step in the Safer Apart order as programs and services for older individuals offer programs in health (including mental health), social, nutritional, educational, and recreational.
“Our senior citizens have looked forward to the time when we could regather at these nurturing senior centers and I am so glad the day has come when the centers can reopen for indoor programs,” said Department of Senior Services Commissioner Jean Brown. Brown said that she looks forward to resuming her visits to senior centers throughout the state.

Asked if there was any truth to speculation that perhaps the aquarium's marine wildlife had been affected by the monthslong shutdown, Nicole Meek, director of visitor operations, said it was "hard to say."
"But the truth is that our animals continue to get the regular care and engagement that they always got," Meek said. "So that some of them might notice that there weren't as many people on the outside of the glass, but some of them might have not."
Meek noted that the animals were not isolated "from those in their families or those in their enclosures, so they really didn't experience what we experienced - being quarantined or working from home, home schooling, etc."

GUJRANWALA: Commissioner Sohail Ashraf has said all educational institutions, cinemas, parks, indoor wedding halls, hotels, shrines and sports activities will be closed for the next two weeks due to rapid spreading of coronavirus in Gujranwala, Gujrat and Sialkot.
He also ordered closing of all kinds of recreational activities in the Gujranwala division. The commissioner said that the areas where the number of corona cases was increasing, smart lockdown should be strictly enforced to prevent the spread of corona. These instructions would be implemented from Sunday. He said that restoration of oxygen supply in all hospitals across the district should be strictly implemented.
