A new comic book series called Superman and the Authoritywill give the Man of Steel a new look reminiscent of his look in the famous Kingdom Come run of comics. Before the comic arrives, artist Kingdom Come suit. As you can see, one of the variations had Superman looking a bit like a silver fox, both in his suit and hair. Another abandoned the cape entirely, looking like the Batman Beyond version of Superman. Even the look of Clark Kent was considered for a bit of a makeover, with one idea giving him a hat and sunglasses that’s a little less formal.

After starring in the extremely weird big screen adaptation of the Marvel Comics series Howard the Duck, actress Lea Thompson wants to take a crack at directing a feature film reboot of the cosmic character. Inspired by Howard the Duck’s recent appearance in the new trailer for Marvel’s What If…?, the Back to the Future franchise star took to Twitter in response to the character trending on social media. In a post on Twitter, Thompson said, “I see #HowardTheDuck is trending #3. The character is described as a passionate and hard-working woman who “has worked her way through life’s ups and downs to climb her way to the top — all while being extremely protective over her impetuous son.” She also has a dark past that forced her to give up her first-born child, which will surely come into play at some point in the series.
