Try This If You Can't See Your 1099-G in CONNECT

“I still have not had my 1099-G,” he said. “I need that to file my 2020 taxes.”
Joseph said he tried everything – from calling the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity to filling out an online form requesting a 1099-G.  He also said he initially tried getting the tax document directly through from the CONNECT portal, where he clicked on a link that should have downloaded the form but nothing happened.
“I’m going on a continuous loop,” he told NBC 6.  “I call them up … I go back on that site … I fill it out and nothing occurs.”
He said getting the form should be easier.

In a powerful alliance, Paris-based premium kids content producer Cottonwood Media, German public broadcaster ZDF and its co-pro and distribution arm ZDF Enterprises, HBO Max and Brazil’s Globo are teaming to produce “Theodosia,” a big new live action kids adventure series targeting family audiences.
No budget is given for the 26-part half hour series. Its combination, however, of elements which make for high-end entertainment – period costume, action and foreseeable heavy VXF – suggest this is another big play by two of Europe’s champions of ambitious live-action kids shows.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Many Floridians received an unemployment check in the mail, but aren't out of work and never applied for unemployment.
So, what’s the deal? and what do you need to do?
“I received a check that i never filed for," said Gary Wharton.
Wharton struggled to get through to someone at the Department of Economic Opportunity.
"[I] finally got through to somebody and they told me that they were brand new, and they have no idea how to help me," Wharton said, "and she gave me a number to call, which was exactly the number I just called and the second person that I got knew nothing.”

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — About 10,000 people who are currently unemployed in the Big Bend are not actively seeking employment, but that could change in the coming weeks.
While lawyers discuss the latest complaint in a lawsuit filed against the Department of Economic Opportunity for what they call mishandling of COVID-related claims, Career Source Capital Region is preparing for a new round of job seekers.
Unemployment is down to 5.3% across Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla Counties, compared to the state's 6.1 percent.
Those currently not seeking employment are covered by a waiver set to expire at the end of the month.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — All Gail McDermott can do right now is wait.
“At first you wanna cry and then it’s so ridiculous you don’t know what to do,” McDermott said. “I mean it’s laughable.”
When she first filed for unemployment last March, she, like so many others, waited weeks to be deemed eligible or ineligible for benefits.
“I think that there were so many people they were trying to go on unemployment back in March we all got caught up in what we called a black hole,” she said.
