Climate change: 'the investment opportunity of the century'

Climate change: 'the investment opportunity of the century'
Jo Francis
Thursday, April 22, 2021
Virtual.Drupa marked Earth Day 2021 with a compelling keynote presentation from climate change expert Dr Gabrielle Walker.
Walker said there would be “a massive reallocation of capital” due to climate change
Walker said that despite the travails of the Covid-19 pandemic, the issues around climate change had gained more attention over the past 18 months.
“The momentum is starting to feel like it’s unstoppable,” she said.
While some aspects were “really quite alarming” – such as the dramatic rise in global temperatures since 1880 – she also described it as “the investment opportunity of the century”.

Konica Minoltas AccurioPress C14000 Series Wins iF DESIGN AWARD 2021

Posted April 21st, 2021 for Konica Minolta
Tokyo (April 22, 2021) - Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) is pleased to announce that the company has secured a third prestigious accolade in seven months – this time the iF DESIGN AWARD 2021 from the Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, the world’s oldest independent design forum – for its AccurioPress C14000/C12000 digital production presses.
The competition was intense with 9,509 entries submitted from 52 countries in the hope of receiving the coveted seal of quality. For 67 years, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been recognised as an arbiter of quality for exceptional design.
In March, the technology leader was named winner of the “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021” from a record number of entries. And last October an international jury remarked on the “outstanding” design of the AccurioPress C14000 Series in awarding Konica Minolta the “Good Design Award 2020” from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion.

CHRISTIAN COLEMAN HAS had his ban for breaching anti-doping ‘whereabouts’ rules cut from two years to 18 months but the reigning world 100 metres champion will still miss this year’s Olympics.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport “partially upheld” Coleman’s appeal after the Athletics Integrity Unit last October found him guilty of two missed tests and one filing failure in 2019, leading to a ban until May 2022.

Rohan Browning is fast.
No Australian has run faster on home soil than the time of 10.05 seconds he set in Queensland last month to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.
And what does it feel like to be running faster than 11 metres every second in a blurring whirr of legs and arms in perfect synchronicity?
"It feels like pure elation, feels very smooth," he told ABC Sport.
