The Day - Tuck has taken on a new role with the Sun - News from southeastern Connecticut

Morgan Tuck candidly discussed during her uber-successful time at UConn that she didn’t know how long her balky knees would allow her to play basketball.
Nonetheless, Tuck had no plans on retiring this past WNBA season when her knees finally said, “no mas”, causing her to call it a career last March with no job lined up or clear-cut path of what to do next.
“I had no idea what I was going to be doing, so that panic set in a little bit,” Tuck said. “‘Okay, now what?”
“It’s been very different,” Tuck said during a video call with the media on Thursday. “I tell everyone that I’m not used to sitting in an office and at a desk.

Morgan Tuck Announces Retirement - WNBA.com - Official Site of the WNBA

The five-year WNBA veteran played in 125 games over five seasons
SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Storm announced today the retirement of forward Morgan Tuck from the WNBA. A five-year WNBA veteran, Tuck was a member of back-to-back WNBA Finals teams, appearing in the Finals with the Connecticut Sun in 2019 and winning a championship with the Storm in 2020.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my retirement from the WNBA,” Tuck said. “I have tried everything physically possible to be ready for the upcoming 2021 WNBA season. Unfortunately, it will not be possible. This was a hard decision to make but I have to listen to what my body is telling me. I am glad that in my final season I was able to win a WNBA Championship with the Seattle Storm.”

The Seattle Storm were quiet in the early going this free agency but have made some big moves in recent days that ensure quite a different look for the roster in 2021.
Of the departures, Alysha Clark left via free agency to the Washington Mystics and Natasha Howard, whose rights were owned by the Storm through the Core Designation, was traded to the New York Liberty. The Storm also traded restricted free agent Sami Whitcomb in exchange for the rights to Stephanie Talbot, who is listed on the “Suspended/Contract Expired” list.
From its four transactions on Wednesday, Seattle acquired two players: Mikiah Herbert Harrigan (from the Minnesota Lynx) and Katie Lou Samuelson (from the Dallas Wings).

Paige Bueckers game winner vs Gamecocks shows brilliance of UConn star

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports
Paige Bueckers is good at basketball.
Like, really, really good at basketball.
She's so good that she's doing something no UConn player has done before — and she's still just a freshman.
We've gotta talk about Paige Bueckers.
The UConn freshman iced Monday night's nailbiter against the No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks in spectacular fashion, draining a three-point dagger with 10.8 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Huskies their biggest win of the season.

As with most things Paige Bueckers, there was some sorcery involved. The 19-year-old's shot ricocheted off the back of the rim, bouncing a good seven feet into the air above the backboard before splashing through the net.
