A pile of rubble was all that remained Monday of a warehouse filled with the products of Liberty Fence at 325 W. MacArthur Drive in Cottage Hills. Several fire departments, including an aerial tower truck from Wood River, assisted Cottage Hills at the Sunday afternoon blaze fed by vinyl PVC fencing. At times thick smoke forced the closure of traffic in both directions on Illinois 140. Firefighters were able to save a rental house a few feet from the building. Liberty Fence does not own the land the warehouse was located on but did own most of the contents.

BELFAST: Arlene Foster has thanked the hundreds of people who contacted her with “generous messages” after she announced she will step down as DUP leader later this month.
The outgoing leader posted on social media about the messages and gifts she has received in recent days. It has been a turbulent week for the Stormont First Minister, who resigned a day after party colleagues moved against her by signing a letter of no confidence in her leadership.
Mrs Foster posted a picture of bunches of flowers she received following her announcement on Wednesday. She tweeted: “Thank you to the hundreds who have been in touch with such generous messages and a special mention to those who sent these beautiful gifts.

New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) Culturally, we view motherhood through a rainbow coloured lens of numerous emotions and feelings, which makes it look easy, satisfying and beautiful. While it is a beautiful creation of nature, sometimes we get blindsided from the weight on the shoulders of overwhelmed mothers.

LAFAYETTE, La. — An Acadiana organization called Family Connection is aiming to help kids who are aging out of the foster care system successfully get on their feet.
The transitional housing program will help those between the ages of 16 and 21 find a job, get into school, and even teach them how to budget.
Family Connection works with various groups like Habitat for Humanity, SLCC, Arch of Acadiana, and LPSS, which refer children to the nonprofit.
Once a child is referred, Family Connection begins a screening process, pairs them with a case manager, and puts together a team based on the child's needs.
