seem to get that out of the picture at all. here is a look at how we hit yesterday in terms of our numbers. we hit 86 degrees at national airport. that is where we should be. temperatures at dulles and bwi thurgood marshall at 83. just ate the bit below the seasonal average. currently 71 degrees at national. starting out very mild this morning. we have 66 degrees at dulles and 63 degrees at bwi marshall. a few clouds this morning. also, just a few showers to our west. loudoun and fauquier county seeing a light shower. that will end in the next little while. a little bit also to the south of delmarva. for today, we are talking a high of 85 degrees, most hi sunny skies. once again, that slight chance of a pop-up shower oreven a thunderstorm. we had that yesterday in the early evening hours >> st. mary's county, maryland and culpeper county, virginia, as wave been saying, watch out for the kids as they head to the bus stop this morning. overnight construction is wrapping up. we can take a live look from traffic land as you travel 66 inbound approaching the beltway. we did have a disabled vehicle. that is cleared out of the way. it should be getting back up to speed. things looking good, 95, 395, no issues for you as you make the trip northbound leaving the mixing bowl heading up across the 14th street bridge. nothing in your way there. traveling the beltway, again, overnight construction clearing. things looking good on the out are loop between 95 past new hampshire to university should be running at speed. no issues right now on the inner loop towards kenilworth. that construction also clearing out. 270 looks good leaving spread yike for the time being. we do want to mention the train derailment, we are still seeing main street closed. >> the tragic train derailment in ellicott city that took the lives of two college students is our big story this morning. >> 19-year-old girls were hanging out when the train cars toppled ver. clean-up crews have been working nonstop to remost damaged cars. this comes as federal authorities try to figure out what caused the deadly crash. fox 5's melanie alnwick is live in the newsroom. >> reporter: the engine was equipped with a head-on video camera that investigators ought to be able to get a look at today if they haven't already. 19-year-old college students rose m. ayr and liz nass, high school friends from ellicott city, were partying on the bridge when the train came by. they even tweeted photos taken from up on the trestle just moments before that train pass bid and then derailed. at this point, investigators say it is not clear if their presence caused the derailment. the ntsb says the crew of three on the train didn't feel anything unusual before the crash and then suddenly the brake were applied automatically and the 9,000 ton train bent like an accordion and cars went flying off the rails. >> each of these cars have air hoses and air systems on them. when there is a break in the connection or a break in the bake pipe from the doe railment forces or whatever it may be, that will cause the trains to go to an emergency braking. >> reporter: at this point, they haven't said where whr that breaking ingood caused the derailment. the train was traveling at 25 miles per hour. investigators say that is an appropriate speed for that area. area. autopsies will need to be completed on the young women before investigators will give an exact cause of death. in a bizarre twist, a pretrial hearing for the alleged mastermind of 9-11 has been postponed because of that train derailment. khalid sheik mohammed and four other men were supposed to have their hearing tomorrow in guantanamo bay, cuba. when the train crashed, verizon says some fiberoptic lines that provide communication to the remote navy base were knocked out. as a result, lawyers in cuba didn't have internet connection. their service has since been restored and the hearing is expected to take place tomorrow. also new this morning, an amber alert in maryland is now over. one-year-old cesar martinez has been found unharmed in the district heights area. there were reports the boy was taken by his father on monday in the 7000 block of nimitz drive. there has been arrest in the fatal police chase that killed a prince george's county police officer. fox 5 has learned that the suspect is kenneth mitchell. we are told the charge is unauthorized use of a vehicle. prince george's police also worked with the metropolitan police department to find the stolen acura in the district. investigators are still looking for the driver who led police on a high-speed chase ending with the death of 23-year-old adrian morris. the man would threatened to shoot up his workplace is now out of a psychiatric fa sai. prince george's mental health judge released 28-year-old neil prescott into the custody of his parents yesterday. he is charged one count of telephone misuse but there are no charges as of yet for making the threats which came in the wake of the colorado shooting massacre. new this morning, attorneys for the former uva la crosse player convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend are headed back to court today. northbound 95 right near the ramp to the outer loop. it looks like that will impact you. you can see the little icons as you head up 95 with the slow traffic. as we move onto traffic land, i was taking a look at the cameras to see how badly the slow traffic is running. looks like it is not too bad. everybody here is moving. this is as you head past backlick road up towards springfield. watch everybody to the on brakes as you head towards the accident scene. 66 leaving manassas heading into centreville, volume is moving here. after that, a smooth trip in towards route 50 fair oaks. beltway the loss two of college students kill whether a train derailed in ellicott city. >> the 19-year-old girls were on a bridge in the historic part of downtown early yesterday morning when the train cars toppled. federal authorities are now trying to figure out what exactly caused that crash. melanie alnwick has the latest. >> reporter: we are getting more information about what happened moments before the crash but it will be a long investigation before we know the exact cause and a very long clean-up is taking place in historic ellicott city. massive railcars are still being lifted up and
