perspective? >> s.e.? >> well, i would agree with both congressman crenshaw and scott that a majority of republicans do believe that there's some corruption or some, you know, a deep state influence inside the fbi, but they believe that because donald trump told them to believe that. donald trump, many years ago, when he was campaigning, and then when he became president conditioned the environment to believe that, probably for moments like this, so that his supporters, both in congress and on television and among voters would say, well, we always knew that they were out to get him. you know, five minutes before trump was elected, the national security apparatus was beloved by republicans and supported and celebrated against complaints from democrats. so i agree that that perception is there among republican voters, but it's there intentionally because donald trump wants it to be there. >> scott, let's look ahead to november -- >> if i may, victor.

for trump or you want to move on, there's a view among most republicans, during trump's president, especially the early days, during the russia investigation that there were people at the fbi, inside the bureaucratic that were desperate to get trump at all costs and did things that were ultimately ruled to be inappropriate. that is a view that's held by republicans, so what he's trying to articulate there is the high degree of skepticism or the high bar that republicans have for just accepting something like this, site unseen. we don't know what's in the documents, we don't know what's in the affidavit. we don't know enough about this to make the judgment whether a raid like this or a search, however you want to describe it, was necessary, so i think what congressman crenshaw is articulating is republicans are going to want to and need to see more before they just say, okay, this was fine. because of the view of what has been done to donald trump in the past. that would be the republican

he has been cooperating with them on these issues for a while now, for months, why take it to this extreme extent. i think that's why you're seeing so much backlash from republicans. you're seeing everyone coalesce, doesn't matter what side of the issue they're on with trump, you're seeing a lot coalesce around this one, it does seem to be unjust, and there does seem to be a long history of loss of credibility at the department of justice at the hands of democrats, and i think people are rightfully frustrated about that. >> on the facts, the doj asked, and then there was a subpoena, there was a confirmation from a trump attorney that there were no more classified documents there, but then there were classified documents found during the search but on his line that there is this loss of credibility under democrats, listen, chris wray is a lifelong republican, appointed by donald trump, what do you make of what congressman crenshaw said? >> yeah, some of what he said i agree with, some i don't. there is a view among republicans that he's right about this, whether you're still

few days is in tandem with the greitens ad. people at the texas state conventional hassling and harassing lawmakers from senator john cornyn who was booed, congressman crenshaw who was heckled, you're seeing this darkness seep around the politics. it's something lawmakers from both parties tell me they're concerned. it also con noekts the january 6th hearing. last night on a background call with the committee, they made the point over and over again that this idea of incitement which you're so smart to ask glenn about is probably going to be something we hear more about. they make the point that trump continued to do this pressure campaign, that giuliani continued to pressure these officials, despite the fact that these people were vocal about getting threats against their lives. that's going to be a centerpiece today, too. it's not just false slates of electors and trying to overturn election results. it's what are the violent ends

foreign relations. joe, before the break, we showed these idiots running after crenshaw, congressman crenshaw, calling him eye-patch mccain. it is so where we are right now, with what's happening to the republican party. people watch some joker on television and see him saying it, no context, no understanding of what it means. if they did think about what it means, they'd go, huh, this doesn't stand for what we believe in. we believe in law and order. we believe in navy s.e.a.l.s. we believe for those who suffer and take injuries for this country to protect. we'd never be cruel to someone injured in the line of duty. just like a cult, a member of a cult, like a robot, they just start repeating what some joker said because that joker is somehow connected to trump and they follow trump.
