LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The LAX pylons are drenched in Dodger blue and white this weekend as the city continues to  mourn the death of former Councilmember Tom LaBonge, whose enthusiasm for the city and seemingly endless knowledge of its history earned him the nickname “Mr. Los Angeles.  
LaBonge died Thursday at age 67. He represented the council's Fourth District from 2001-15, overseeing an area that includes Koreatown, Mid- Wilshire, the Miracle Mile, Fairfax District and much of Hollywood, Silver Lake, Los Feliz and Griffith Park.  
On Friday, airport officials announced plans for the tribute to LaBonge, as well as legendary Los Angeles Dodgers Manager Tommy Lasorda, who also died Thursday night.
