Sundance Film Festival 2022
The Sundance Film Festival will return to Park City for 2022, setting Jan. 20-30 as the dates for next year's in-person event.
But next year's Sundance will also remain online after the festival saw record attendance at the 2021 edition, with more than 600,000 people attending the virtual fest. Sundance had additional success this year with events taking place in other hub cities across the country, and the 2022 festival will continue that aspect beyond the in-person events in Park City, Utah.

Where You've Seen The Ginny And Georgia Cast Before

CinemaBlend
The latest hit Netflix series is here. In February, the streaming service unveiled
Ginny & Georgia, a dramedy starring Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry in the title roles. While the reviews were only moderate (appreciative if not overwhelmingly positive), the series has garnered its fair share of viewers, while not escaping some controversy along the way. Nevertheless, commonly compared to
Gilmore Girls, this family drama should win over audiences who love that popular series. But if you're wondering why you recognize the acting ensemble, which includes both fresh newcomers and established talents alike, we're here to help. Here's where you've seen the

What we loved at Sundance 2021 . . . from our couch

This year the 2021 Sundance Film Festival was virtual, and its offerings trimmed down from previous years. It included 73 feature films, 50 short films, four Indie Series, 23 talks and events, and 14 New Frontier multimedia projects. We watched 38 of the 73 films, including most of the award winners. Here are some sneak peaks of our favorites to look for in the year to come.

Some things are excruciatingly difficult to articulate in words, and can only be expressed in an abstract manner such as dance. Things such as the lonely success of Alvin Ailey, a gay man born in the depression in 1931 who, against all odds, was able to realize his dream. Choreographer, former Ailey company member, and friend George Faison reflects on their groundbreaking work that was rooted in Black liberation: "We didn't have to go out to the street and protest, our protest was on the stage." Director Jamilla Wignot's film gives voice to the silent protest in Ailey's heart that did not have an audience.

How the Pandemic Affected Sundance's 2021 Offerings | POPSUGAR Entertainment

On the Count of Three,
Passing,
Eight For Silver, and
Prisoners of the Ghostland — they all dealt with some form of loss, depression, or grief. While I may be projecting my own emotions and feelings onto the films, these weren't the only movies at the festival to deal with the same topics. There was
CODA, which follows 17-year-old Ruby who is struggling between deciding to follow her dreams or stay with her family;
Mass, which brings together two sets of grieving parents in the aftermath of a school shooting;
One For the Road, which features two friends brought together after one learns they have terminal cancer; and

Maria Belen Poncio and Rosario Perazolo Masjoan • Director and co-director of 4 Feet High

4 Feet High began four years ago, when our producer
Ezequiel Lenardon suggested making a VR documentary about my life after I gave a TEDx talk in Córdoba. I wanted to talk about the sexuality of people with disabilities. Together with Maria, we started to create this universe.
(The article continues below - Commercial information)
Maria Belen Poncio: When Lenardon invited me to develop the project, I was captivated by the idea of rethinking the perception of disability and getting closer to that reality. Working with Rosario to create this piece has been a great journey. We shared many experiences and reflections that ended up being in the script. We also had a very talented team of writers – the two writers who worked on the last draft,

Series review: 4 Feet High

Rosario Perazolo Masjoan are the writers and directors of
4 Feet High, a new Argentinian-French co-production presented in the Indie Series strand of this year's Sundance Film Festival.
The young-adult series is a transmedia project, composed of six 16:9 episodes and four 360/3D VR experiences taking part in the festival’s New Frontier programme. While the VR experiences centre on the lead character's emotions and sensory climax, the focus of this review will be on the six 16:9 episodes only. The story of
4 Feet High is set in the Argentinian city of Córdoba and revolves around Juana (played by the talented
Marisol Agostina Irigoyen), a 17-year-old girl in a wheelchair, ashamed of her body and tired of society's continuous paternalism towards her. We follow Juana during her last year of secondary school, exploring her own identity and making two new friends, Julia (

Series review: Seeds of Deceit

Now here comes the next proper binge-worthy experience: over the course of three episodes,
Miriam Guttmann dissects the
Jan Karbaat case, and good luck trying not to finish it all in one sitting. In
Seeds of Deceit, shown at Sundance as part of the Indie Series programme, we come back to what, just a few years ago, made the tabloids choke, when a respected fertility doctor was discovered to have inseminated patients with his own sperm. Karbaat, who passed away before his trial had even started, has spawned scores of children – who, as shown here, really do look eerily alike. But there is yet more to the story.
