Do the media really treat Biden worse than Trump?

To find out the truth, perhaps we should look at tried-and-true studies from nonpartisan organizations instead of depending on a longtime MSNBC pundit.

We knew media would coddle Biden — here's why it's much worse

But what we're witnessing in these first few weeks is even worse than the already-low expectations set going in. Here are a few painful exhibits from the past week alone of the fluffy "journalism" that had been on hiatus since the Obama-Biden era:
President Biden has expressed a preference for a fire built in the Oval Office fireplace, and sometimes adds a log himself to keep it going.
Unlike his recent predecessors, he's more of an early-to-bed type. Here's how Biden is settling into his new job. https://t.co/FdCGtxPXkM— CNN (@CNN) February 15, 2021

He "sometimes adds a log himself to keep it going." Yep — someone actually wrote this for a story in the news section. A Newsweek story was even puffier.

The swift death of the media darlings known as the Lincoln Project

As quickly as it rose to its perch as a media darling, the Lincoln Project (LP) is crashing down swiftly to its fitting end. And it has no one to blame but itself.
The beginning of the end came a few weeks ago. Co-founder John Weaver has been accused by nearly two dozen young men and boys of sexually inappropriate harassment via direct messages and texts. Weaver's LP co-founders said nothing when Axios broke the first story on an allegations against Weaver, apparently hoping that left-leaning media outlets would simply let the story die. And said media certainly did its best to do just that: In 17 TV appearances after the Axios story, the allegations against Weaver never came up once in interviews with other co-founders, including Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson and George Conway

Five examples of media's sycophancy for Biden on inauguration week

Coverage of presidential inauguration week underperformed already-low expectations, with the usual measured accolades and sober analysis for the incoming president mostly sidelined for fawning praise and outright activism.
The overall theme centered on the premise that President Biden
Biden also claimed multiple times – including once during last year’s presidential campaign – to have been arrested or jailed when he attempted to see Nelson Mandela in South Africa at the height of Apartheid. After being fact-checked, Biden "clarified" his remarks instead of apologizing, saying he was merely "stopped." The 78-year-old also told a Black audience in 2012 that then-GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney

Scorned and mistreated, Melania Trump deserved much better from the media

And then there was Melania Trump's rearrangement of the Rose Garden last year, which Slate called "fit for an unchecked presidency" and "Versailles in miniature." One CNN political analyst accused her of cutting down "Jackie Kennedy's trees."
"Melania dug up the WH Rose Garden, removing roses from every First Lady since 1913," Occupy Democrats alleged in a post that went viral.
Several fact-checks shot down these ridiculous claims. But, as the saying goes, “a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes.”
Allegations are shared more on social media than are exonerations.
Per USA Today: "Based on our research, claims that first lady Melania Trump removed historic cherry trees and roses in her recent renovation of the White House's Rose Garden are FALSE. The trees that were relocated were crabapple trees, and roses from previous gardens had likely already died or been replaced before the renovation."

The Guardian Names and Shames Tory MPs Who Joined 'Far-Right' Parler

Britain’s leading left-wing newspaper
The Guardian has published a list of Conservative MPs and prominent personalities who joined the social media platform Parler, which the newspaper claims is favoured by the “far-right” and “Trump supporters”.
The Observer — the Sunday edition of Britain’s
Guardian newspaper — claimed that at least 14 Conservative MPs had joined Parler before it was disappeared off the internet, after being removed from Apple and Google Play app stores, and Amazon Web Services ultimately pulling the company’s access to their internet servers. The social media network has since insisted it will “be back soon”.
The article named cabinet minister Michael Gove, Foreign Office minister James Cleverly, health minister Nadine Dorries, and Tory MPs Steve Baker, Ben Bradley, and Mark Jenkinson for joining Parler.
