we've got 20 million people at risk this thursday with afternoon highs. they expect it to be very comfortably into triple digits. heat advisories and heat watches in place into parts of california, arizona as well, with heat warnings in effect as well. this is just the beginning of this. we're going to continue to see these temperatures climb over the course of the next couple of days. so as far as today is concerned, we can expect those highs anywhere from 5 to 15 degrees above normal especially parts of texas into the southern plains. triple-digit heat into lubbock. meanwhile you can see how this expands a little further to the west here, 104 in roswell, 106 in del rio, and this expanding west into parts of nevada and arizona. the forecast, just brutal here. 108 in las vegas on wednesday. 111 on thursday, and still again well into the triple digits for friday. same goes for tucson. not quite as hot. up toward salt lake city.

that's what he did. his campaign has been a little more aggressive. and certainly his fund-raising appeals. some democrats are talking about it. plenty aren't. what do you think the right approach is here because i know there are some in the party who think, look, this won't be the only issue. voters are going to talk about voting rights and inflation. does the party seem more reluctant? what's your sense? >> i think from my reporting, when i speak to democrats, they are a little renascent to slam trump and more focused on the judicial system orr propping up the judicial system that republicans and donald trump are trying to tear down by saying that the court case was illegitimate and fraudulent and, you know, just someone specifically targeting him. so their defense has been to just continuously say that, you know, no one is above the law.
