i learned that the fact that she is now stable some 72 hours after the shooting, we're told that is a good sign in terms of survival. but quality of life is another issue. >> and do we know anything more about the motive here? was it just random that she shot her? >> reporter: so it seems. the motive was revenge against a librarian and the school's speech and debate coach. it just happened that claire was sitting next to the entrance when the shooter walked into the school and she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. >> appreciate the update. thanks. two suspects are still at large after a deadly carjacking at a new jersey shopping mall. a couple returned to their suv in the parking lot at the mall when they were confronted by two men. the 30-year-old husband was shot

report, hundreds and hundreds of pages. these 28 pages were actually excised from that report. these are not -- these are not just redactions, the 28 pages that i read and walter jones read have actually been pulled from the report completely. i think transparency would be served by this. number two, i think if you think about the families who lost loved ones in this, they are certainly deserving of a full accounting. and, thirdly, i think after reading this 28 pages, i think it could help to inform our decisions going forward, not just -- not just looking back in a historical context, but i actually think it will help the quality of our decision making going forward. >> congressman lynch, thank you very much for joining us. >> thank you, piers. i want to turn to america's latest school shooting. 17-year-old claire davis fighting for her life after a

desks, this very simple procedure we're doing. it's worked fabulously well. the more you get into the difficulty of girls education, which every teacher talks about, every teacher talks about the difficulty of retaining girls in the classroom. the families, especially when they have to pay tuition have to make the decision who gets to go. they will almost always choose the boy. almost always. the president of malawi is a woman, the first in history. so we're kind of using her example as an inspiration for what we need to do in getting more girls to stay in school. that's the mission, to stay in school. this is throughout africa and malawi, it's a perfect representation of the challenge. >> you talked to development experts around the globe, the importance of women getting education, girls and women getting an education and

the full cost for a year of school for each girl is $177 which includes room and board for the girls who need it. the full cost of each of our desks that are made in malawi has increased to $65 each, reflecting a fuel spike in malawi. that has increased many prices involved in getting the desks built. the price of steel, the price of the wood that the workers use in malawi to make those desks. but any amount you can contribute is helpful. if you contribute $10 to desks or tuition, someone else will contribute $10 and someone else will contribute $10 so a girl will go to high school who otherwise would not have had a chance to go to high school and she will see a desk for the first time in her life at that school and she will treasure that desk in ways that we who take such things for granted find hard to imagine.
